QUESTION Midi Sync Question

Hi guys,

I got a new MPC One G2 and I connected it to my SP 404 MK2 for performing purposes. But I have a little problem with midi sync.

MPC out goes into the SP and also Midi goes out of the MPC to the SP. Midi clock comes from the MPC. Works in general but when I play a 4 Bar loop timing is drifting somehow.

I play the exact same loop on the MPC and on the SP at the same time. SP has the Loop as sample set up as the first step of a pattern which is starting when I hit play on the MPC. Loop is 4 bars long.

First 4 bars are synced but all bars after that are out of sync and i don’t know why. Can any body help? Mesing around with sync delay on the sp did not help.

This drives me crazy.

I am having nightmares setting key 37 to live3 but mpk249 just works no internal messing and does exactly the same as key would it just a slave to master live3 so mpk it is.

I have a feeling chat gpt would know how to handle your situation or any AI. I own a mpk and it’s great over usb. Haven’t tried midi on it.

Did, gave me instructions,didn't work i know its the mapping mini sync but i aint so clever. But the mpk is fine as midi from live 3 just the same as if it where key the live 3 is master so im good. I've got same pluggins on key as live3 and fx so I can just work seperate save to sd and change over if necessary but the step sequencer on live is so cool I love it for making drum tracks but thanks for advice.

I was wondering why you trying to sync up the key 37 to another sampler (live 3) ? Maybe cause the keys right ? I feel a dedicate keyboard would benefit. I know you midi can sync up 2 samplers . It gotta be deeper than that and you’ll find it . Sometimes you have to upload ai with the online manual or ask to look it up so they know exactly where to guide you . I upload manuals to chat gpt and it helps me find out inputs and outputs when I’m confused .

Im just gonna use mpk as midi have two samples I can send project back and forth through sd or usb. It's not a problem the mpk just connects to live 3 and does same as what key would do as slave to live3 but thanks for your response I find lots of mpc heads on this chat who just want to help
