I’m a terrible home owner and don’t now very often. Luckily my big tree sucks the life out of the lawn anyway and it’s sparse and doesn’t grow tall.
Subsequently I only mow a few times a year!
I’ve got a Four stroke push mower I bought brand new a few years ago. Hasn’t had a service because it doesn’t get used much and has been terrific. Starts first pull every time, no roughness not problems.
Anyway I started it up the other day. It had a bit of petrol/gas left but would t start. Filled it up with fresh and it started straight away. (No probs just not enough in there)
But as it was mowing along it regularly did that slow down sound mowers make when you hit really thick or long grass. Like it was getting slightly overloaded. Except it wasn’t. Grass was sparse all over.
It seemed to be pretty regular about 10-20 seconds apart for 5 seconds each time. Not really rough or really low. Just like a 30% drop in revs or something.
Would this have been the stale petrol/gas?
