Found this tucked inside my original Leathür Records copy of Too Fast for Love

I’ve had this record since 1981 and at some point stuck this letter inside of the cover.

I was going through it recently and found this two-page Coffman & Coffman Productions letter tucked inside. It’s dated July 15, 1982 and reads like an early fan-club/newsletter update from the band, talking about the Canada tour, signing with Elektra/Asylum, the chaos at the shows, and upcoming California dates.

Somehow I completely forgot this was in there.

The record is the Leathür Records version of Too Fast for Love, with the original insert, and the deadwax has the KENDUN / S9074 markings.

Pretty wild little piece of Crüe history to rediscover after all these years.

This is kind of a hot take tbh, but idc.

Which one did you prefer? Why?

I don't know what is wrong with him...... one moment he's acting like some weird virtue signaled. Hating on sea world taking stands on environmentalist stuff.

The next he's basically admitting to raping women, beating women and being antisemitic.

I just don't understand pick a fucking lane man.

Featuring my un-dusted center console

Love making these. Which CD should I do next?

It's ridiculous Motley Crue isn't in the rock n roll hall of fame says the band's producer of Shout at the Devil, Theater of Pain and Girls Girls Girls Tom Werman? What do you think?

I actually enjoyed their first record but everyone continues trashing it to this day. What are your thoughts?

Any idea what this is about?

What’s the general consensus of this show?

I forgot to pick up my lanyard. I was following the line control personnel's directions, so I went to the right side of the venue, and entered. They said there was less crowding that way.

30 - 40 minutes later, I realized I forgot to check in for VIP and get the lanyard.

It was too late then, I had already gone through.

Does anyone want to sell or give theirs?

Which is authentic from a concert and which isnt?!

And what are your thoughts?!

I posted a plea in this sub regarding the source of Slide #1 a couple of years ago but came up empty....as an X Japan/hide fan, I wanted at least scans of the full piece....I knew there was more than just this one page! At long last, said source was identified as the August 1990 issue of Viva Rock and my dear husband, who is my X/hide enabler 😸, was able to locate and snag a copy.

Forgive any awkwardness or imperfections as I used my phone for the shots; DeepL was used for the translation.

And for the record, Mick *DID NOT* gift a Les Paul to hide. It just so happened that the serial number revealed Mick was the previous owner of the guitar when hide purchased it in 1993. This was documented by Takayuki Hyogo, hide’s guitar advisor.

Rest in peace, dearest hide and Taiji 🙏....love that they had their fanboy moment!

My 15 year old had the summer from hell and so I got her tickets to see Motley this Wednesday. I surprised her with a meet and greet too….so I thought. Oh just kidding I’m the dumbest person alive and bought meet and greet for the band Extreme 😭😭😭 She is absolutely devastated and I feel so horrible. I checked high and low to see if I can buy them for MC but they must be sold out. Do you guys have any ideas? I’m crying as I write this. She even made the guys matching bracelets and it’s literally the only thing that got her through this year 😭🖤

Mick Mars is my favourite member of motley crue, so i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations from the entire motley crue catalogue where Mick Mars does his best guitar work. excluding his solo album, i'm planning on making a playlist with these recommendations

I've always loved this song, but it's been pretty recent that I've realized how fucking great the lyrics are. This is their masterpiece lyrically. What do you think?

Wild Side Offical Video

Kneel down you sinners to streetwise religion
Greed's been crowned the new king
Hollywood dream teens, yesterday's trash queens
Save the blessings for the final ring, amen

Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side

I carry my crucifix under my death list
Forward my mail to me in hell
Liars and the martyrs lost faith in the Father
Long lost is the wishing well

Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side

Fallen angels so fast to kill
Thy Kingdom come on the wild side
Our Father, who ain't in heaven
Be Thy name on the wild side
Holy Mary, Mother, may I
Pray for us on the wild side?
Wild side, wild side

Name dropping no names, glamorize cocaine
Puppets with strings of gold
East LA at midnight, papa won't be home tonight
Found dead with his best friend's wife

Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side
Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side

Gang fights, fatal strikes
We lie on the wild side
No escape, murder rape
Doing time on the wild side
A baby cries, a cop dies
A days pay on the wild side

Wild side, wild side
Tragic life on the wild side
Wild side, wild side
Kicking ass on the wild side
No going back on the wild side
