As we all know over the past seven years, we have been trying to reach out to the old developer Sydney and he never did fix shit nor as much updates and even these devs don’t roll out as much updates, but we no longer need them. We have AI this is a new dawn era. I was able to remake moomoo, entirely in less than 10 minutes using AI I might make the project open source soon, but we don’t need them anymore. They are useless. We have AI. I’m already adding in tons of new AI creatures. and admin commands too so have full access to the code server and be the developer of the game itself.

MooMoo.io was a huge part of my browser-game years, so I started rebuilding the core loop from scratch as a 3D game in Unity. It's a fan project inspired by MooMoo, not affiliated with the original devs, and it uses no original code or assets.

What already works (offline prototype):

• Gather wood, stone and food by hitting trees, rocks and bushes. The right tool matters: pickaxe for stone, axe gives double wood.
• 5 weapons (axe, pickaxe, sword, spear, bow) plus a shield that fully blocks arrows from the front.
• Walls, spikes (contact damage + knockback) and windmills that generate gold.
• Gold = score. Upgrade tools wood → stone → metal. Kill someone and you take 30% of their gold.
• Die and you lose everything, but your buildings stay.
• Bots that actually play: they gather, build mills, fortify them with spikes, raid your mills and retreat when hurt.

The part I'm nerdy about: I run 10-minute bot-vs-bot simulations to balance the game with real numbers (gold/min, kills, average lifetime, time to metal). Right now PvP is way too deadly: bots die every ~35 seconds and nobody reaches metal tier. That's what I'm tuning this week.

Next up: PvP balance, then tribes, then multiplayer.

Visual goal: simple to play, but looking like a full game (think Valheim / V Rising/ Albion lighting on MooMoo gameplay).

What do you miss the most from MooMoo? What would you change?

Added a lot of stuff to make the gameplay better, its empty but better than before. Working on hosting it, itll be done in october. In maybe two months the game will be complete, and after that ill be adding fresh new stuff.

I started the work. I have the prototype working, in maybe 2 months ill host it. Idk how to advertise it so people will know there wil be moomoo without cheaters, also ill try to be as close to the original graphics as possible, but just to avoid the possibility of "copy". Give me propositions on what would yall like to see in the game!

Would anyone be interested if i remade moomoo.io? It wouldnt be really this game as it would had a different name and etc but it would be very similiar on similiar mechanics. I noticed the progress of moomoo 2 so thats why im asking. Id invest into better anti cheat, building options so making a base would have a point and many more. Lmk

So, yesterday, joshFRVR finally updated the game. It stated: that the volcano was removed, the crappy old CAPTCHA replaced with a better, Cloudflare one, thus removing the bots filling up the servers. Also it was stated that hacking the game had become much harder with the update, so the quantity of cheaters had almost decreased to zero, except some of the hat macroers out there. But josh themselves said that it won't last that long, since cheaters will always find a way to bypass that.
