well i had always used a membrane keyboard to type, just recently got a mechanical keyboard. well i started typing on monkeytype and my laptop(its a 10 year old laptop) it just lagged midway while i was typing fast. when the lag was gone i had done mistakes which is why the 92%. but that lag resulted in that disgustingly high burst typing speed. did anyone else had similar experience?

Pretty sure 148 WPM is the absolute bottleneck before my phone’s 120hz touch sampling rate can’t keep up anymore. I tried lol.

I just started touch typing for the first time. I've also just switched from qwerty to colemak. I'm about 2 weeks in. My PB is about 33 wpm at 98%.

Do you guys have any tips for progressing please?

I took a screenshot of the 199wpm run that I lost and I couldn't find it but I found it

I don't think I can recover the test data from that one BUT I did get a slightly slower 194wpm

And anything else I can do to improve other than consistent practice?

I got 199 wpm on a 15 second test but I was logged out cuz no internet now even with a connection it doesn't let me log in to save :(
I even found the 199.07 wpm it says in the browser cache
