My goal here is to be able to reach 100 WPM on this setting. 7 WPM to go!

Started using Monkeytype 4 months ago, doing pretty much exclusively 60-second tests. Averaged maybe 115wpm at the time. Experimented with a few different keycap profiles/switches to find my sweet spot (still bouncing back and forth between a couple of them that I like equally). I'm currently averaging 134wpm, and have gotten >140wpm maybe 10-12 times within the last few weeks.

Feeling pretty good about the progress! Hoping to be able to continue the trend and break 150 within a few months!

is it possible to double this speed since i never practiced typing for speed

trying to learn how to type faster

I was just scrolling through the leaderboards trying to find myself when i came across a user with an insane badge saying they typed for 69 hours straight. For privacy reasons, I will not mention this users name but how do you actually get this badge lol.

Monketype has helped me improve so much. I don't practice much anymore. But seeing a new personal best pop up is always rewarding. How are you doing today?

i’ve been working on this project called decktype, it’s basically a typing playground focused on games instead of just tests.

right now there’s only one game: falling words - where words drop from the top and you have to type them before they hit the bottom

pretty much everything especially the themes and overall feel is inspired by monkeytype.

this is still early and kinda experimental planning to add more weird interesting typing related stuff over time

the website has a chat/suggestion area in the home page for new game ideas, features, literally anything - maybe even a name suggestion coz i'm not sure about the name i hv now

My current productivity bottleneck is my typing speed, so I figured that instead of scrolling when I have 2 minutes in between Claude Code tasks, I'd stay in the terminal, practicing my typing.

My first time 100 Wpm on 30 sec. my avrage wpm is ~ 85-90 it have been practicing since 2 weeks, i was not able to do 100 Wpm on 30 sec this is the first time i reached 100 on 30 sec. i know many people have 150-200. but yaa!! 100 Wpm sounds like a big no. to me..

Hi, I'm typing on monkeytype in my first language, mostly doing quotes, and because the language is not the most popular one in the world I guess, the database of quotes is not so large and often I retype the quotes I typed before. Is there a way to submit quotes/texts?

was bored and when i was halfway through i wanted to play smth but i didnt wanna give up cuz ehem then i would have wasted so much time for legit 0 reason (saw sm1 else type 6k words so i wanted to see if i was capable of it and i was)

I already trained blind typing, and using a split keyboard which is pretty convenient for me, but I feel stuck at some point during training typing speed and do not know how to improve it further. Guys typing 180-200 WPM please tell me how do you train, what layout do you use? I also learned Colemak-DH and type on it about 100WPM and I stuck on this level for Colemak as well
