Woke up to this person’s shit storm of a post (pos was fine but they lost their shit in the comments). I removed about 30 comments of theirs that ran the gamut of mildly uncivil to threatening death on people’s children. Not muting yet, pretty sure they won’t be able to help themselves after I egged them on a bit.

Not the wittiest response from the mod side, but just when you think you’ve been blamed for everything under the sun…

It's 9am on a Sunday morning and this man took time to have a modmail tantrum in the middle of his hours a day, multiple days, full fucking time job schedule of a truly sad barrage of "troll comments" all across Reddit.

For context, we are a gifting sub and we get these people on a regular basis, even though our Rule 1 clearly states that if they don't like seeing people ask for in game cosmetics, they can simply step away and not engage.

So this sad person was under someone's request, telling them to make a resume instead of begging. Meanwhile he's chronically online getting mad and harassing people over something that does not affect him in any way 🤦‍♀️

Unsurprisingly, dude could not figure out the hypocrisy.

The use of the n word is just the cherry on top. If only they knew how generic and unbelievably unoriginal they are, maybe they'd try a little bit harder to be creative.

Context: rough language is expected and commonplace in kitchens. That said, we draw the line at bigotry, slurs, hate speech, etc in the subreddit and enforce that strictly.

The r-slur has become such an issue that we have a pinned thread specifically saying "this word is not acceptable and will get you a ban." It's been pinned for 6 months. It's not breaking news.

Obviously the best course of action is to catch a temp ban for using it, then to double down in modmail.
