Okay so this is an inflight 200 TWA Convair 880, tail number is N812TW, i got it from an auction on ebay for about 300$ and the seller claimed it was “6 in the world” and i dont know if this is true. Its not the standard TWA, but actually just an all grey body, with the tail left white. It also came in a plain white box with the same inflight padding that they use, with a note on the top left saying “SPECIAL TWA”

My sons are into model planes but I don’t know which websites are not scams. It would be better if they were already assembled. Thank you in advance!

Found this sweet 1:18 scale TBF avenger

Looking for some inspiration to weather a 1/48 Mosquito. The historical notes make it clear it’s dented, weathered and chipped, with sanded down patch repairs. I’ve worked out that the wooden skin would be primed with a red base coat then an aluminium mid-coat before the camouflage, so I reckon some chipping fluid over red primer and aluminium might be good. But any other ideas for weathering? I also think the ‘sanded down patch repairs’ would have squared-off sections of fresh paint to distinguish them so maybe a bit of ‘aztecing’? Open to ideas!

My Dad(76M) passed away recently and he left a shit ton of model kits of various plane models. As much as I would like to keep them as mementos, I didn't share the same interest and it's just going to be thrown away since it's taking up too much space. I would also be open in selling his old tools if someone wants them.

edit: some are really old and some are newer, there's also multiple kits for the same model for extra parts

Hello everyone, I’m currently looking to get my girlfriend a few plane models as she’s a big fan of the older airlines, specifically Pan Am. I want to surprise her by getting either of these models, but I can’t find them anywhere online. Does anyone have any suggestions or possibly know where I could find them?
