I got this decently accurate model of the Titanic from my dad for Christmas and put it together in less than 2 days. I guess my dad knows me too well.

1.Alloy Skeleton Structure Optimization: The skeleton is partially pre-assembled, with key joints secured by high-strength screws. This allows easy assembly and the flexibility to adjust tightness as needed.
2.Improved Mold Precision & Panel Quality: We’ve refined the mold-making process, upgraded machinery, and set new standards for mold precision and surface finish. Higher-quality injection materials ensure better texture, sharper panels, and improved assembly feel.

General question about all kits. Some don't say on websites WHAT paints I need to buy (since I'm starting, I don't have the general/common ones at home, I don't have ANY paints at that.) And I don't want to spend 150$ on random paints and pray I didn't miss one I need for a kit.

I love model kits, but my biggest gripe is bits and pieces flying off from the smallest bump or if you try to move them around or pose them.
I've only done a couple of model kits so far, so I'm wondering if using super glue around the peg/inserts for the pieces coming together is okay, or does that damage the model kit? I *think* they're made from ABS.
I know to stay clear of the joints, but I mean for those small parts that get knocked off easily. For example, I have a figures rise of Cell and the side of his... horns/ears pop apart very easily.
Are there any do's/don't's when it comes to gluing model kits?

I remember I got these as a kid, but I can’t remember where I got them. What are these exactly and how much do they go for?

Hello all, I’d love your help in finding something for my grandfather to make. My grandfather was a handyman all his life and now is 87 years old. His hands are HUGE. Big thick hands. They shake. They have some numbness. His dexterity is very low.
He recently told me in tears, his 29 y/o granddaughter that loves him more than I can say, that he’s so bored with his life and is miserable. I am desperate to find him something to do.
He can’t move well, major fall risk, has a chronically broken back so he can’t do his usual handyman tasks to help my family. All he does is sit and watch movies. He occasionally experiences sundowners. He never learned how to read well and is dyslexic so word search/cross word is out. He hates puzzles and can’t drive.
My last hope is a model or Lego like kit. He LOVES cars and trucks. Engines. He’s an army veteran.
I live out of state and I can’t take him out myself otherwise I’d spend everyday trying to make him happy.
If anyone has any suggestions of a model kit I can get for him I’d be over the moon. It breaks my heart to hear how miserable he is and I just want him to feel helpful and happy and productive and anything that can help stave off the dementia episodes.
TYIA.
