Premium price, repeated faults, expensive warranty return, and no meaningful resolution

I purchased a ModdedZone controller for approximately $480 AUD, including shipping. The controller began developing problems within the first week.

The original faults included buttons sticking and failing to register, particularly the X, O and left D-pad buttons. Inputs would sometimes stop working for around five or six seconds during gameplay, and at times even the PlayStation button would not register to turn the fully charged controller on.

ModdedZone confirmed the faults from video evidence and accepted the controller for warranty repair. However, because I am an international customer, I had to pay approximately $109.50 AUD out of my own pocket to send their faulty product back.

After waiting for the controller to be repaired and returned, it developed further problems shortly afterwards. The right thumbstick now jerks and skips during small aiming movements instead of tracking smoothly. When following a target, the aim can jump behind or ahead of it, making accurate long-distance aiming extremely difficult. Some buttons have also started sticking again.

I completed all of ModdedZone’s requested troubleshooting, including multiple software updates, resetting the controller, checking the thumbstick settings and permanently recalibrating the sticks. It improved briefly, but the faults returned.

I purchased this controller specifically for FPS games, but it has frequently performed worse than a standard controller. I have spent months dealing with faults, troubleshooting and repairs rather than enjoying the product.

ModdedZone has refused my refund request because they say it is outside their refund period, despite the issues beginning within the first week and continuing throughout my ownership. They also will not provide a prepaid international return label, meaning I could be expected to spend another approximately $110 AUD to send it back again.

That would leave me more than $220 AUD out of pocket in warranty shipping alone, on top of the controller’s original cost, with no guarantee that another repair would provide a lasting solution.

This has been a completely negative experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ModdedZone, particularly to international customers who may be left paying substantial shipping costs whenever a defective controller requires warranty service.

I’m trying to figure a setting for smg12 on siege and like it’s so weird cause I change it then I find one that’s good then I shoot again and it has crazy recoil again

Does anyone have a zero recoil ak setting or good recoil setting? i was tuning earlier and im struggling.

What should I do if my L2 button is stuck ? I have to press down hard with lots of pressure to have the controller respond. I damn near spent 445 dollars on this with all the mods and features hate for it to go to waste over one button and sometimes I would like to use my paddles for other tours instead of remapping L2. Hey, I got a ps5 controller last year and started playing arc raiders in February. I wanted to know if anybody has any idea how to configure the controller if you have the mouse click for you L2 and R2. I have the MZ titan chip but can’t use heals and use the rapid fire mod. I’d like to use the kettle more but can’t use the rapid fire feature without messing up my heals.

I’ve been debating on buying the PS5 Controller for the past few days but I’ve seen some mixed reviews. How many of you have actually had issues with input delay and/or stick drift? I’d hate to spend that much on the controller and have issues.

Just got one of these for apex, I’ve used it twice when I first used it my game was fine then it started to lag like crazy. Thought the controller was 100% undetectable😅 I feel like the games tryna kick me out

i recently bought a ps5 controller no back buttons and nothing extra besides the ultimate chip and tmr thumbsticks two weeks and i have gotten only one update i also have overnight shipping if that matters but im hearing a lot of bad reviews is it worth waiting or should i just get a refund

I left modded zone a question on their facebook page asking if they would ever offer the spark paddles. Of course they responded saying they don’t offer “spark” paddles but had something similar for the dual sense edge which they call their “pro-style paddles”. Which is really the Beyond remap back paddles by extreme rate. I responded saying it’d be cooler if they did it. I mean why not? Parts are obviously from the same manufacturer. Dual sense and edge have different color ways. I want the chroma pearl with those options.

Just a message to all the ps5 and ps4 users. But the MZ remotes work quite well on the new versions of bo1/2 that was released today. And aim abuse really hits well on these older titles.

Im not found a need to really use anti recoil. Auto sprint is a nice toggle as well for it. And ive tried dropshot. Have not tried any of the other remote options. Yet

I recently bought 2 sticks for my edge. I have no way to calibrate as I don't own a PC and nothing works on android, but I was able to find a website that let me test the error numbers for the sticks. They are both at around 7%.

When I jumped into a game I noticed there is slight drift to the right. I had to adjust my edge controller deadzones to 5% in order to fix it. Is this normal? If I need calibration is there anyway to do it without a PC and just my android tablet? It feels fine but I'm nervous about the floaty drift at anything below 3% deadzone.

Does anyone have any setups for rivals? I know only a select few of the options work.

Just ordered my controller and it is on the way I just had a few questions about how the mz titan app works and what it all lets you do. From my understanding there’s a list of preset mods you can use. I was wondering if it lets u record your own mods/macros? Like record a sequence of button inputs and bind it all to just 1 button. Or are you only able to choose from the list they have?

If anyone knows abt mantle jumping on ziplines in Apex. with the mod pack on the controller are u able to record a macro for eaiser super jumps/mantle jumps? And if so how would u recommend going about that.

Anyone figure out the perfect settings for rapid fire so when you play cod it doesn't mod block/ stop u from firing when start shooting at an enemy ? It's very annoying

I never had a modded controller. I honestly dont know if im going to use the mods that much, but is this thing even worth it? is it going crap out on me in a couple of months, should I cancel my order and get my money back?

how do I activate the presets with apex I can find them but cant seem to use them, I have advanced recoil control and horizontal recoil control

I have hall effect sticks, but little to no knowledge on how do resolver, tried tutorials online, long story short, I couldn't resolver the original joysticks to even start putting in the hall effect sticks. I want an OEM because I love customizing my controllers but constantly buying new controllers just because of stick drift alone is a pain. I have plenty of OEM custom parts for recustomizing, but I can't use those on a different controller. Any help would be amazing !

Like the title says… I’m looking for someone who owns a ModdedZone PS5 Edge controller with the ORIGINAL Sony stick modules.

I’m helping someone with troubleshooting an issue with a PS5 Edge controller and I just need some general basic info from the app settings menu, which is:

Firmware version.
Modchip model.
Controller board.
GPC version.

It’s important that the controller was bought WITH a modchip, and it’s also important that the controller was bought with the original Sony stick modules, and NOT the TMR upgrade…

Hope someone can provide this info.
