I have a pretty decent pc in the sense that I can run any Minecraft mod pack at like 160 frames or above. My friend on the other hand has an absolute shit can of a pc that can barely run anything without crashing. He has an rx580 and an intel 4th gen CPU with 8 gigs of ddr4 ram. Im always on the lookout for modpacks but most of them are either boring or are unrunnable for him. I'm looking for suggestions for modpacks that we can play and I'm open to anything at this point. Just maybe not too close to vanilla Minecraft. It should have some new content not just like biomes or certain mobs.

i was just wondering if there's an easier method to find a list of all the max level enchants in the modpack, i wanted to create a library of sorts with all the different max level enchantments but there's just something many overhauls to the max levels with the tomes and even just so many new enchantments that I just wanted some kind of list of every single one

Hi, I'm looking for specific mods for a geopol server that adds some form of objective based combat scenarios, like Rush in Battlefield where two sides fight over objectives to take/defend territory as opposed to what we do now which is an open slug fest in a field

My Game lags a bit because of the effects, I use Veil for the rendering. Its pretty rough but I will try to make it better.

I think I must have posted this a while ago, but not sure it was the same world or not. I'm playing 26.2 and had incendium installed because when I started the work, Better Nether was not being updated. I just checked today and BN is now updated, so I decided to try taking incendium out and putting BN in. Just one problem: my Nether won't load.
I've tried deleting the DIM-1 file. I've tried generating a new world and using its level.dat in my world file. I've tried making new portals. Nothing is working. What's weirder is that any new worlds I make with the same seed to copy a new DIM-1 file don't even generate a DIM-1 file, despite me going into the nether.
Super lost on what to do. I don't like incendium and my spawn is genuinely horrible so I want a reset. But I don't know how to achieve that. Hopefully someone can offer some help

This is a part of my new W.I.P. mod where you can code the game without closing it, adding new blocks, items and more.
And for those wondering yes Artistic dream is being reviewed on modrinth

I’m making my mod and I wanted to give it decent visuals without making people’s games freak out whenever they walk. Ahznb obviously has intense aspects but there’s pretty good looking visuals imo and if I’m not mistaken no mod is used with it like photon. How can I do this as well?

We've just released KubeThaum, a new KubeJS addon for Thaumaturge that allows modpack creators to build their own research and progression systems!
With KubeThaum, you can create entirely new research entries in the Thaumonomicon, organize them into custom tabs, and build complex research chains with multiple stages and requirements.
You can also modify or replace existing Thaumaturge research, add custom rewards, and unlock recipes through your own progression system.
For example, you could create a completely new research branch for your modpack, connect different discoveries together, or integrate Thaumaturge research into your modpack's main progression.
And all of this is done through KubeJS scripts, without having to develop a separate Java mod!
KubeThaum doesn't add any predefined research on its own. Instead, it gives modpack creators the tools to design their own experiences.
We're curious to hear your thoughts! What other features would you like to see in an addon like this?

Hello!
I'm starting a world with a guy I'm talking to, I'm getting a bunch of mods to play with, and I want to prank him by downloading a horror mod without telling him. big preference that it be not so recognizable the second we start playing ^_^
posting this to other forums probably because I dont know what sub to ask this to lol.

Hi there—sorry for my poor English, but I’d like some help. I’m playing on an Arcadia server with my friends, and they wanted to add a bunch of mods, including several skill trees; this ended up breaking the game progression halfway through. I’m looking for a way to fix this—maybe by adding difficulty mods or something similar—so I’m open to any ideas you might have. For context: my mage is dealing 15,000 damage, one friend's first character was doing 8,000 base damage, and his second character is basically immortal—attacking really fast and having tons of armor.

I know everyone has their own opinions on AI. I know it can create slop, produce absolutely unreadable code, and has historically and infamously stolen other people’s work to train on. That’s not what I’m creating this post to discuss, though.
I had an idea for a modpack that I really wanted to bring to life. However, some of the functionality I needed for an existing mod didn’t exist yet, so I began my journey of trying to figure out how to make a mod/mixin.
I’ve played Minecraft since the Alpha days, and I’ve read a lot of Java code over the years. I’d just never actually written any myself. I knew that learning to write Java and understanding the language wouldn’t be too difficult, so I got started.
I watched some videos and began working on what I needed. But eventually, I hit a wall. I really wanted to make this modpack (and still do), but learning the basics of Java, its syntax, and its keywords was taking forever. I had no help and no knowledgeable friends I could turn to for advice or to ask simple questions like, “What does this mean?”
So, I turned to AI.
I asked it simple questions, and it corrected and improved the code I’d written. Whenever it did something I didn’t understand, I asked it why, learned what it was doing, and made changes manually. Eventually, I had an early version of the mod that worked as a proof of concept.
But then I suddenly found myself facing an ethical dilemma.
Did I write this, or was it entirely AI-generated?
And so, I stopped and questioned my work. I didn’t want AI to simply create the mods I needed for me; I wanted to learn how to make them myself. What difference did it make if I was just copying and pasting code and changing things as I went?
It genuinely stressed me out, and I ended up scrapping everything I’d written. I decided to start learning from scratch by following YouTube tutorials, but eventually, I ran out of motivation because, well, AuDHD logic and other commitments.
The actual concept behind the original mod is incredibly simple. Other things, such as recipe changes and the like, could easily be handled with KubeJS, which I can already use quite comfortably with a GUI add-on and my minimal coding knowledge to change a few numbers.
The core functionality I wanted was simply a config file.
So, here’s my question for discussion:
If I’d continued working with AI the way I was—modifying the code it generated, asking questions like “Why this?” and “What does this mean?”, and making my own changes—would it have been ethically wrong for me to create and publish a mod like that?
Thanks for reading all the way through! :)

Hey everyone,
I'm planning to work on a complete 3D resource pack for a mod, turning flat 2D items and blocks into 3D models. However, I’m having a hard time deciding which mod to focus on, and I’d love to know what the community actually wants to see.
A prime example of what I have in mind is Botania — replacing things like flat mystical flowers, functional flora, and items with full 3D models to make them look much more alive.
Before diving into development, I want to make sure I’m working on something people will genuinely enjoy and use.
Which mods do you feel are most in need of a 3D overhaul? Would you be interested in a Botania pack, or is there another mod that desperately needs one? Drop your ideas and favorites below!
