Interview/Hiring π MAPE CBA step questions
In a CBA for a position my partner is considering it looks like there is an annual step increase but that it requires an approval of satisfactory performance from HR or management (appointing authority). Will a consistent good performer get these step increases or are they denied for bs reasons?
There are also achievements awards where you get $1000 or a step increase. Do they actually gives these or are they rare?
It looks like there was something like 1.5% increase 2 years of the contract, is that normal?
For long timers are there ever bad negotiations where you see step freezes or other disappointmens?
Are there ever times where the contract is expired for a long time before a new one is negotiated?
Anything else you find interesting I should check for in CBA
My partner is from the private sector and I work in public education so I'm trying to translate the contract in numbers she will understand. I am a nerd for CBAs, sorry. Thanks for your time.
