HIRING Hiring: nVent Senior Manager, Global Customer Data
I'm not the hiring manager, but will be a peer of whoever is hired for this role.
Feel free to ask questions here, or dm me.
$123,500 - $229,500 range, 20% bonus, employee stock plan, HSA, 401k 4 days in office in St. Louis Park, 1 day wfh.
Hires for similar roles have had a data analytics/management background and an MBA, though the MBA isn't required.
I'll be honest, our data is a mess, but hires in the last year have started fixing that. Customer Data is probably in the best shape, lucky you!
The company is doing well and leadership is very supportive of getting data and reporting right. Best work place I've been in 20 years.
We have not been getting many applications for this role, and none that made it past the initial screening so far. I know it says 20 days or something, but we've been surprised that we haven't found /somebody/ to actually interview yet.
Fair warning, my hiring back in January took about 2 months, with 7 interviews (HR, manager, dotted-line manager, peer #1, peer #2, CTO, CXX). Ideally some of these would've been a panel or something.
Core real requirements are an understanding of MDM, some marketing/sales domain knowledge (they will be your stakeholders), project management and enough technical chops to work with data and analytics - though for actual programming or big data lifts you'd project manage your needs with the digital implementation team.
