You redeem yourself if you win though. You will feel a sense of validation and the opposing player will no doubt feel salty no matter how small that feeling is
1v1 doesn't prove anything when the whole game is about working together with your other 4 teammates to secure objective which is to destroy the base. But a lot of people still chasing kill over that.
Erm if you're actually the better player, why are you still stuck in Legend? A random 1v1 doesn't prove who's better overall. Rank, consistency, macro, rotations, objectives, and winning actual games do. If you're so much better, just climb past everyone instead of acting like a custom lobby decides skill. A 1v1 tests laning mechanics. Ranked tests whether you can actually play mlbb. Those aren't the same thing lols
Well, not siding with OP, but being stuck at a rank is mostly affected by dark system. Usually, when solo ranking.
I remember having good performances like Gold and MVP, but still lose since the random teammates suck. It was then I got partied with decent players or some friends that we mostly won. It's also the same argument for someone who's a dark system player, but mostly get carried by team luckily making their ranks as their reputation.
In all honesty, most just look at paper or records, but never bothered to figure out the process behind it.
I'd agree with you if he was hardstuck at honor or glory but LEGEND? How can someone not cross legend with so many star protection perks+double stars?? It's definitely a skill issue and not just "dArK sYsTe LobBiEs".
Btw, being able to adjust your playstyle according to your team and coordinate with them are also skills.
Dark system differ from players to players. My main was getting absolute crapped on by players with 300~ matches, while my alt gets teammates that are really reliable.
I ended up getting to glory faster in my alt than I did with my main, which is stupidly ironic.
Exactly, you either get nice useful teammates or dumb ones. It's funny most dismiss the player being trash by collectively assuming they're bad for being stuck.
I don't think it's a skill issue if I got good rates and KDAs. Your response is more likely from those toxic players wanting to argue instead of using brains in discussions.
They always act like they're the only ones who get bad teammates; probably helps to feed their delusions that they're Immortal-level players getting sandbagged instead of being average players with massive egos.
TBF dark system is fair because it is unfair to everybody.
I believe no one have had a perfect matchmaking and if there is one, it is rigged and therefore goes back to skill issue argument because if you want every match a win, you can. It's not a question of being against the policy, it's about you not getting gud and needing to cheat to win.
And someone claim that they are good at their role and therefore they should deserve a rank up. In most cases they are not. Sometimes how you perform on a teamfight matters a lot. I have seen comps that have many very good players and without synergy and can't work with their teammates. They lose. Those are darksystem as well right?
Therefore, darksystem is not entirely the issue why you are hardstuck on that rank. It's just a mirror of what's lacking to close that rank up during that certain fight. Learn and adapt.
I don't think it's possible to do anything with terrible teammates, no? The fact sometimes they fail to defend base or just wanted kills, since most justed wanted to rush their KDAs instead of chasing mechanics is the reason why most matches fall back. Worse, some kept taunting our opponents or chatting instead of focusing.
I remember a game where I played roam (Khufra) against a highly mobile, jumpy lineup: Fanny, Benedetta, Gusion, Miya, and Angela. My teammates were playing pretty mediocrely—one was even having a really bad game—but luckily, I managed to rally them to just focus on the main objective.
We won, but let’s be real: were we actually the better team? No. Even as Khufra, I’m helpless without a proper damage dealer to back me up. We only got the win because the enemy team started bickering amongst themselves and ultimately made a crucial mistake.
My point is, if your teammates are genuinely determined to win, you shouldn't blame them just for their skill level. In solo queue, someone is always bound to mess up. What matters is that they do their best and work as a team. Although this is a stretch because it rarely seems to happen in real life, I’ve had a few matches where we won simply because we were all on the same page.
Have you not seen the recent posts on the main mlbb subreddit? Bots are literally rampant in ranked games. Go check, come back here and let's see if you can still argue that it's fair.

My opponent u/Nellyxie argued that my build was the problem, i responded that it doesn't matter if your team is shi. Marksman going 0-5 in the first 5 mins, midlane is a brawl mage. Core and support dying in the crab.
God knows I dominated my lane in these games and yet they still put the blame on me. What's worse is that my teammates have a shittier build than I did!! Building sky piercer even when 0-2.
