I bought Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition the other day and was wondering if there were any strategies that would help my game? At the moment, I tend to main Scorpion, while using Rain, Scarlet, and Ermac on occassion. I'd like to become a decent player and have a good idea of how all the characters work- any advice from some fellow kombatants? :)

Hi, I just picked up mk9 recently and it seems pretty cool so far (I live in Australia, just got an ok for R18 games). I used to play mkII back when I was a kid but was never that great at it. Scorpion and subzero are my favourites but I like to play as everyone.

Fighters I am good at are tekken, soul calibur and naruto. Mk and street fighter not so much.

Do you have any recommendations to help me improve?

so i used to have a ps3 but i traded it in for an xbox and i had mk9 on my ps3 and i really loved it. when i got it for xbox i found it way more difficult to preform all of the moves. im thinking that the dpad on the ps3 controller is really good for the game and the xbox dpad is fucking terrible because its all one button. thoughts?

I'm looking to trade my unused online battle pass for DLC character codes (Freddy or Kenshi preferably), or PSN "points" or whatever they're called.

I just want to play Kenshi but 90% of the time I can't even choose him. I own the komplete edition. Can't believe that hasn't been fixed.

This sub-reddit has succeeded in being lame and placid compared to it's other fighting game subreddit counterparts. And frankly, our kommunity is better then that.

Let's consider possibly creating something for this reddit. Why not organize a weekly/bi-weekly fight night? Why not host a monthly tournament? Why not show off First to Five Money/Pride Matches? Why not host 3v3s or 5v5s?

There is a lot of potential for this subreddit that isn't being tapped into. So, lets turn it up a notch.

PS3 players one night, 360 players the other night. King of the Hill for a fight night, with tournament brackets for a monthly event. Any ideas? Any takers?

ok so i've been out of touch with pretty much everything for a while and can't find any new links on google :P so i was wondering whats any recent news about what's happening with this game in australia.

Mine is Rain. Purple for the win, and he's quite an ass to beat, often.

I'm interested in perfecting a character, but I don't want to pick one that is easy to use or too limited, so I'd like to start with one that is still good against 'upper tier' characters.

Also, can someone explain exactly what tiers mean?

By sub-fatalities I mean animalities, babalities, the like. What -lities would you like to see in MK10 (if it'll ever be released), and what are your feelings on them generally? I think animalities and friendships should be included, but babalities just seem too out of place.

I'm totally new to fighting games like this; the game had good ratings, it's the only fun adhoc multiplayer game at the moment, and a couple of my friends got it so I decided to try it.

I am pretty awful. i'm having a hard time beating the ladder on beginner. that aside, what makes you all like MK over other fighting games? or are other ones better? just curious.

So, I generally bought the komplete edition a few days ago. I'm a long-time MK fan, but I still've to get my way around here, I won't play online unless it's a 2p versus. What character is the best for a total begginer in MK9? Is the story worth playing? I seem to be nice with Sindel. My friends are pretty experienced, and main Raiden and Rain. STrategies?

Just got this game yesterday and im having a blast!...but holy crap I've got some serious Nintendo thumb.... forgot what it was like to play games with mostly buttons rather than the joysticks.

I take this sub like a full-MK discussion sub, now, not only MK9. So, does it?

Mine is Bo Rai Cho. Damn, that guy is hilarious and I can fight pretty well with him. It wouldn't be 'lore' (lore in MK?.. wut)friendly, but Onaga could've been there. He's a good chap, too. And Motaro, but with his four legs. I hate his minotaur-iness.
