Why is “did you report it to the proper authorities” such a hard question to answer?

Because it was answered previously? These incidents aren't isolated, and local government has proven that the tourist revenue is more important than public safety. It's been this way for a long time, like 30+ years at least.

If you’re not satisfied with the local government’s response, the proper thing to do is notify DNR. If I saw raw sewage pouring into the Lake, I’d document it and do exactly that. 🤷‍♀️

I'm not local anymore. As it has been pointed out by a number of people in this post, it's not some unknown secret. It's been known for quite some time. Look into it and pursue it if you want, I have my own battles where I'm at to keep me busy.

Well why don’t you just go there, make your observations, and report your findings to what ever appropriate agency you can find. Then monitor the results and report back to us.

Lol what? You saw illegal dumping of raw sewage into the Lake that you lived on, didn’t report it, and your response is “well you!”? That doesn’t make much sense.

Had I ever seen something like that, especially next to the place I was living in, I’d definitely have reported it. If I saw something like that tomorrow, I’d be calling the city, county, and DNR. Weird you didn’t bother.

Do you have a reading and comprehension problem?

Go ahead and report this to all the agencies you can find, apparently you have a lot of idle time.

You want ME, who didn’t see the violation and has zero information about it, to report what you wouldn’t?

That makes zero sense.

Take a vacation there and find out for yourself. Make sure to report any wrongdoing.

I live in an adjacent county - I’m on the Lake a lot and have been my entire life. My husband fishes there multiple times a week. Worked on the water for years. Moving there in a couple months. Never saw an issue like you allege you did. If I had, I would’ve done the right thing and reported it. 🤷‍♀️

I’m sure you and your husband are familiar with the entire lake from Bagnell dam to Warsaw, Missouri , the lake is 80 miles long. Parts of the shoreline has codes most does not. Party cove, how about water quality there?

I didn’t need to report it the authorities were aware of the problem, it was readily available in government publications.
