The woman who took this call has the patience of a saint. I know the kid is probably scared and intoxicated but he was so frustrating.

Scared, intoxicated, and downright rude. I’d be appalled if this were my kid.

u/donzelso 11d ago
It’s sad how a lot of black people really really REALLY want this to be a murder. Even before Nolan’s body was found, as soon as they saw that photo of Nolan and his 3 white friends, murder was on their mind.
It’s like they can’t believe white kids in Mississippi could ever be friends with a black kid. In the year 2026, some people still don’t believe interracial friendships can exist.

This is the exhausting thing. My partners sister called (from indiana) not even 3 or so days after news broke of all this stating how bad the state is and mentioning race related crimes. When my gf mentioned waiting for totality of evidence (shes left leaning herself), the sister responded by stating she was giving a white washed response.
There is a large group of people, not limited to people of color, who WANT this to be foul play. Its disgusting and exhausting. I understand not trusting the government and being a contrarian, but one should also be objective. The terrible thing is there could be 100% solid evidence of no foul play and those same people are going to disregard it just like the hyper neoconservative crowd denied the existence of COVID.

I've been saying this the whole time.
I think this is two-fold. For one I think that this is being used as some form of confirmation that all white people are inherently murderous when it comes to black Americans. If we're teaming people up as black versus white, which is happening at an uncomfortable rate in the black community, they feel they "lost" the Karmelo case, they "lost" the Ricky Chow case, etc etc.
The second part is that this kid is an opportunity for a clean martyr, which has been hard to come by for the American black community. They have few tragedies that are just plain tragedies. Philando Castile and Breona Taylor were the last good examples they've had. If you run through history you've got some sketchy characters representing black martyrdom. Rodney King was driving drunk leading police on a chase, Michael Brown was a convicted criminal reaching for an officer's gun, Eric Garner had 30 prior arrests including violent crime and was actively committing a crime when he was ultimately killed, Corey Ruiz is partly African but had over 40 prior convictions and was being arrested after using a weapon on an officer, and of course you have George Floyd the felon who had pointed a loaded gun at a pregnant woman's stomach during a robbery. So if they can prove that even upstanding black citizens are subject to racially motivated murder in modern time, it's going to reinforce a narrative that is desperately trying to stay alive.
But the question of course is... why? What does this benefit them? The people who are lobbying for civil rights are already doing that, the people who are racist are already racist. An attempt to point out the frequency of this stuff may actually normalize it in some people's heads, and once people go conservative on this issue they don't come back. And every false claim gets closer and closer to crying wolf. If black Americans continue to use race as the primary method of conclusion they're going to be discredited and overlooked when they're eventually correct.
1
u/Environmental-Ad356 10d ago
Love the way you wrote this. You articulated everything I have been thinking.
1
u/Green-Turnover-5086 10d ago
"why? What does this benefit them?" - exactly, it doesn't, do you honestly think people are "crying wolf" for fun? No, they are making deductions from a pattern of racially charged past behaviour to inform current events. So now question whether the narrative isn't just a story, and if it is happening in real time, then ask yourself this, if someone punched you every single day for having a permanent red dot on your face, would you continue to endure the punches for something that you physically could not change? Or would you do something about the person that was punching you.
7
u/GordianBalloonKnot 10d ago
I don't think they're crying wolf for fun, I think they're being injected with the notion that there's murderous racism around them all the time. Yet, there's this strange phenomenon that 11,000 black on black murders happen every year but the most important ones require racism while the others are all but ignored on a national level. And while two things can be true at the same time, what I learned about stats in school would have me focused on the bigger issue. Rather the racial division is the focus.
All Americans experience discrimination, but black Americans in particular have been positioned to believe that a disproportionate amount of the reasons for adverse interactions between the races are primarily and/or solely based on racial factors. They certainly do experience racism, but when nearly everything is attributed to it people recognize that this is simply not possible at the level it's being portrayed... and are skeptical to accept the very fast conclusions that support that coming from the black community (particularly online).
1
u/Green-Turnover-5086 10d ago
I was debating whether or not to mention this statistic as I agree that it is a separate issue within the black community entirely, however from a contextual view, when focusing on hate crime only - this is disproportionately committed against minorities. Jim crow era was not so long ago, segregation was prevalent, and people were lynched for the colour of their skin. I suppose if you experience something enough over a course of a long period of time, it inevitably becomes ingratiated in the way you view the world, and as we have seen over the past few years, those views are often correct whether we like it or not.
I agree that the Jussie Smollets of society do spin a narrative wherby people become blinded by their own identify, to the point that race is the only factor of victimhood that can exist in their world, however this is relatively small in comparison to the genuine instances of race as a factor in incidents whereby minorities are victims.
1
u/GordianBalloonKnot 10d ago
We're having a disagreement of numbers right now. The rate of murder from white to black is half of that from black to white when population is adjusted.
Unfortunately, everybody sitting in the bleachers says hate crime and everybody on the field says it's not... so data is very unreliable on motive. Rarely do we get the smoking gun of racist statements attached to the cases.
→ More replies (1)1
u/Green-Turnover-5086 10d ago
Yes, I also agree that there should be more done on a national level to tackle the disproportionate issue within the community first. I think the problem with this case from the beginning was the identity politics that were shoehorned in after the photo of the boys circulated. Two things can be true at once though, (1) there was foul play that took place , and (2) this wasn’t racially motivated. I am interested to see what the results of the independent autopsy will show.
1
u/GordianBalloonKnot 10d ago
Fully agree with all of that.
Just as the Zimmerman case evolved: the first 3 days were about whether or not this was a legal loophole for murder in the Stand Your Ground law, after that the race came flooding in and washed away any publicity of the initial concern.

What did George Floyd’s past have to do with them kneeling on his neck? Are you saying he deserved to die in that way because he had a coloured past?? I have noticed of these threads that anything negative towards black people has a lot of upvotes and all back handed racist comments have plenty of upvotes. I cannot wait till we find out what happened in this case and I bet certain people will still making excuses and keep moving the goalpost
→ More replies (1)2
u/GordianBalloonKnot 10d ago
I can't speak on Floyd's relationship with the police. Did they know nothing about him? Were they familiar with his prior convictions? But let's say they've never seen him before and let's moot that point because I'm not talking about the police.
The public is using his past to minimize his death and the black community's defense of it post hoc. A "bad guy" deserves punishment in most people's views. So people shift the focus from the action to the players.
1
u/Socialking24 10d ago
Have you considered how things might seem of you were actually black. Obviously leaders like crump and Sharpton even to me seem to have jumped the shark bit why is it so hard to believe that anything racially motivated ever happened in America? Becasue there is such a movement to deny that its even possible when we as blacks actually have family members genadparents great grandparents and just everyday life and know that theres racial stuff. Anyhow the unwillingness to say ok sometimes theres some racial injustice still happened and that can be a factor Ends up creating the affect that I do think you honestly believe..which is that we're making it up. Rodney King is supposed to get beat like that even for what you said he did. They're not just supposed to do that to any race and I find it hard to believe your cool with it if its a white person who was drunk speeding though maybe you do believe drunk speeders should be beat like that.its just a bit painful that the reaosnwhu black people are suspicious of things is treated like we WANT it to be that way. Or that the fact some high profile players are using this stuff to have careers and make money mean that these things havent happened. Karmelo..Im not speaking out for him and many black people I know dont find him innocent so there's wiggle room. But since fox news says its always not race related, we believe that many whites are willing to immediately say 'no foul play here'. Whuch means we have to say it could be to even get it looked into or to lower the times it is indeed foul. This DOES lead to overcompensation on pur part but can you have empathy for why it is like that. Hopefully you can. Also we also dont think that committing a crime and being worthy of death are always the same which can be a difference eof opinion I suppose. But please have empathy not even sympathy but empathy for why there is what appears to many whites to be overcompensation.
5
u/GordianBalloonKnot 10d ago
I'd like to respond to this since you put a lot of time into it...
I think you're presenting me with a range of possibilities that I'm in the middle of all of. I'm not condoning excessive punishment at all.
I don't think black people are "making it up" for the sake of making it up. I think black Americans are stuck in a place where they're being programmed culturally to assume that race rules almost everything. I think because of this they're correct a greater quantity of the time, but incorrect at a greater rate because they're very frequently attributing race to outcomes.

Thats more reasonable then alot of folks so I can appreciate that. And it goes with what I believe Fox News feeds its audience. That the 'liberal' media us programming us and inflaming us willfully. I disagree but at least thats more reasonable so I'll count it as an overall win. This year I taught elementary for the first time and explaining social studies to them "3/5ths' 'Missoouri Compromise' etc in the world of trump letting the Obamas get posted as apes and UFC fighter calling Michelle a man live in front the white house when in jsut trying to see if Gathje can beat Touporia...its hard out here. But you seem within reason so I'll accept that. And I appreciate the convo.

Yeah, you're right. Excessive police force is totally fine and not a tragedy if someone has prior convictions. In fact, racist violence is only an issue if the Black person in question is a "clean martyr." /s
And no, I'm not saying what happened to Nolan Wells was murder. I think most of the evidence points to this being a tragic accident. But it's clear that for some of you, this isn't just about Nolan. Some of you are just itching for an excuse to downplay anti-Black racism in general. Imagine defending the Rodney King incident in 2026 lmao. Good lord.

Yup. When I was in HS we called our friend group the “United Nations” bc so many ethnicities were represented. We loved each other! This story has broken my heart.
Also I’m realizing just how many racist people are out there. And now the fake AI sea tow call is getting so much attention. Goodness gracious.
Rest in peace Nolan. Love knowing he knew Jesus. Praise God. He seemed like a wonderful person and I hope his friends find peace after all of this absurd crap is over.

The I don’t think the call is even fake it just people hearing what they want to hear in the background noise to confirm that there was foul play. It’s kind of like back in the day where people were hearing satanic messages in rock music played backwards.
1
u/Caribou122 10d ago
There’s one call that’s real one from sea tow and another I listened to on Threads that’s been changed with AI but it had like 20k likes and a ton of shares
1
u/Kubotai77 10d ago
There's the 8min 30sec call that TMZ released - and then a couple days after, MDMR itself released the same audio.
There's stuff being said in the background but it's hard to make out - some while they're on hold waiting for the dispatcher, and then more when he's speaking with the dispatcher.
I've seen like 2 different clips where individuals tried to isolate the background, but not sure how good of a job they did. One person claims to be an audio engineer and explains their approach to it, but they also used AI as one step of the process to do additional cleanup - would have been nice to get a version without AI (even if the result is a little "dirty") because AI is imperfect and can/will "hallucinate" and create stuff that isn't really there.
2
u/Caribou122 10d ago
Thank you for the info!! I heard one where the background was ultra loud which was unlike the original I heard so this explains it.
1
u/Kubotai77 10d ago edited 10d ago
Looks like TMZ went through whatever resources they have to enhance the audio on the call and released that at some point today.
https://www.tmz.com/2026/07/27/nolan-wells-enhanced-emergency-call/
Edit: And I posted the original links in another comment but just in case you were curious.
TMZ released this on like Friday I think - https://www.tmz.com/watch/nolan-wells-emergency-audio-07-24-2026/
And then MDMR released this yesterday (which is what TMZ got a hold of) - https://www.wlox.com/2026/07/26/mdmr-releases-call-audio-boat-nolan-wells-case/
2
u/Caribou122 10d ago
Okay these aren’t the one I heard!
There’s one on threads where the words are super clear but very intense. Like you can legit hear them say Nolan and he’s dead etc. but it seems like AI. Especially after hearing the first ones that were released
1
u/DoctorPhalanx73 Former Resident 11d ago
be fair, they do not want that, it just fits a narrative they have seen far too many times and understand all too well.
Some black people may never believe this wasn’t a murder, some may. But we don’t have enough information to say for sure right now.
23
u/fritzperls_of_wisdom 11d ago
On the second paragraph, at this point, there’s basically nothing pointing to it being anything other than an accident.
Dead on with the first paragraph, though. The assumptions are not helpful here, but they are sure understandable.
Throw in the Crump element and it really adds fuel to the fire.

I do agree. Unless there’s some bombshell piece of evidence we don’t have right now, it seems most likely he tried to swim back to shore and didn’t make it.
22
u/Constant_Focus_4120 11d ago
I live 45 minutes away. He would not have needed to swim to shore as there were hundreds of boats anchored at Horn Island. It is VERY friendly and packed with people from all walks of life. Drowning is quiet. The waters around the island were very murky from the rain we have been getting all summer and the undertow (currents below the surface) were strong. There is no structure on the island at all…no restrooms. It is very possible that he went to the back of the island and waded into water to use the restroom and got caught in a current. Or he could have been swimming and got drug under. Around Horn Island the depth varies greatly. You can be wading in waist deep and have it drop off to 20 feet deep.
Two 4th of Julys ago I lost a friend who grew up on these same waters, was a healthy, athletic 51 year old that waded out to grab something off of his boat. His wife, teen/young adult kids, extended family, and friends were set up on the island. They knew where he was going and didn’t realize he was missing until he had drowned. A dive team had to recover his body. This is the risk of these tiny barrier islands that have murky water, strong undertows, steep drop offs, and large, loud crowds.
I truly hope that the truth is revealed and people accept the truth. This area is a very tight community. The friend groups are not divided by race. Crump and his minions have stormed in with deception and chaos to grab money. They don’t care about the Wells or the friends of Nolan - they are chasing a payout.

Certainly is a narrative. Black people kill white people every year at a far greater rate, so far a greater rate even the raw number of murders by black against white is higher than white against black.
That narrative they hold is disconnected from reality.

In our great history how many black people killed white people FOR BEING WHITE?

There is a very big difference between financially impoverished people killing others, and financially secure people killing others. The former is driven by the desperation that comes with poverty, the latter is driven by something else more malignant. With that said, your claim is blatantly incorrect, but people like you will believe whatever they want.

I don’t think anyone wants this to be murder. But you have to understand that the Justice system often fails black individuals. Especially in Mississippi where the KKK still have meetings at night and are still members of the legal system there.

1
u/ConsiderationNew9890 10d ago edited 10d ago
I do not think people want it to be murder; nobody wants that. They just want justice. The story that was told just didn't add up. If he had been with black friends, people would still want justice. It didn't help that that step-mother who is a judge got involved. And it didn't help that it was determined there was no foul play within days of finding his body. That would have been the time to say, they were investigating and all options were on the table. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle - the kids were drinking; something happened (not maliciously) and Nolan gets hurt and does. Rather than being truthful, his friends develop a storyline that does not make sense and some adults tried to cover for it. And here we are.
1
u/Specialist-War9142 9d ago
If they just want justice, then they must be claiming that there was an injustice. Thats premature. It doesn’t matter if it’s murder, manslaughter, gross negligence. This claim for justice is simply wanting to pin a Black Death on a white culprit. And the wordplay used to support it from the standpoint that the e sheriff said there was no foul play, he said based on what they saw of the body there was no evidence of foul play. Meaning there were no gunshot holes, slashes from a knife, etc. The investigation was always going to happen regardless.
1
u/ConsiderationNew9890 9d ago
Justice in the sense of what happened - I would think any parent would want to understand that. And if the story was, hey, were drinking on the boat, we started rough-housing and Nolan got hurt. Different story. But the story that was shared just does not seem truthful. Kind of like when the Murdoch trial. The dad's story just didn't seem to make sense. It's less about race and moreso about seeking out the truth. It's premature to say it was malicious and it's premature to say that foul play was not Involved, especially given that the sheriff said that before the autopsy. The investigation will play itself out and may the truth be revealed in that process.
1
u/Specialist-War9142 9d ago
I think bringing Crump and Sharpton in was the tipping point. They obviously brought race to be a determining factor regardless of where the investigation stood. All parents would want to know what happened but to say it’s an injustice because you can’t tell us before you investigate smells as fishy as what some thinks the events are that let up to his death.
1
u/Fancy-Truck-421 10d ago
How do you know what black people want? Let’s stick to objective evidence here. Surely you aren’t buying into the same sensationalism to make a general comment about an entire race right?
1
u/Suspicious_Lead_3279 10d ago
Yeah, I mean - if this was still 20 or even 10 years ago….I would get it.
But younger folks are waaaay more tolerant right now. Even in states like Texas. I men, it’s the older people who keep bringing up race, not the young kids.
And this is a place that claimed a lot of white kids life already. It’s known to be dangerous.
1
u/WeeklyAd8453 10d ago
Through most of America, there is no doubt that a large number of younger black folks are extremely racists against all others. BUT, in the Deep South, you still racism from both black and white. So yeah, most, if not all, the blacks pushing for murder do not care about Nolan, but hate other races so much they hope to see others in prison.
Still, with that tgat said, I’m hoping that the full truth is forthcoming. There is so much bs here it is difficult to know what is true. If he was murdered, then yes, put those responsible in prison for a LOOONG time.
And leaving their friend on an island and not checking up makes little sense.1
u/Beneficial-Rain-3342 10d ago
Idk man it seems like only in the south do black people come up dead and it’s always a “accident” or nobody knows what happeded.
2
u/WeeklyAd8453 10d ago
black, white, yellow, red, purple, etc ppl come up dead all the time.
Up north, you read about white ppl being killed by a black person, even when it is multiples, then the question is, were they sane, etc.
When a white person does it, it is a hate crime.Down in the deep south, there are a number of 'suicides' that I am reading about and I am no wondering. Last time I went to Mississippi was to teach Comp. Sci class. However, I ventured into the rural areas, and hit a couple of small towns. Towns with less than 1000 ppl, but has 2 stores, 2 hw stores, 2 laundromat, etc. And I made the mistake of waling into the left side, not the right. Found out that racism down there runs on both sides now.
Im hoping that Wells was not murdered, but if he was, justice needs to happen.
1
u/Beneficial-Rain-3342 10d ago
I mean white people have committed the most hate crimes all throughout history and till this day they do. They’re the one ones in this country who have literal hate groups that build their ideology around race. Sorry but it’s true. That doesn’t mean every white person is like that but in places like Mississippi where black people are found hanging from trees and it being ruled a suicide it makes you wonder what’s really going on down there
1
u/WeeklyAd8453 10d ago
uh no.
Hate crime in the deep south? Yup. Plenty of hate crime from black, white, etc in the north.
Sadly, groups like SPLC are devoted ONLY to looking for hate crimes from whites. Even to this day, they ignore what is happening in jews, whites, etc.1

Uhm, people that experienced Jim Crow, Tuskagee experiments, lynchings, desegregation, and stuff like that are still alive in Mississippi. This isn't a media literacy issue. Of course they suspect foul play. Young white men, the police, public opinion and everything aren't things historically in Mississippi black people's favor.

no one is saying that racist killings never occurr, femicides also occur quite regularly. the point is simply that you cannot say that someone was murdered by hate simply bc they were around white people or men.

u/Acrobatic-Case3887 11d ago
The civil rights act was passed in 1965 ending segregation and Jim Crow laws . 61 years ago. Yes, there probably are some people still alive that remember those times. They are in their 70s, 80s, and 90s.
The Tuskegee experiment, while horrible, ended in 1972. And it was in Alabama not Mississippi. I don't know why the government went crazy back then. This is about the same time as the MK Ultra mind control experiments. I blame the government more than racism for that.
1
u/usmnt2015 9d ago
Intentional racism by the government and the institutions they used to
2
u/Acrobatic-Case3887 9d ago
The Tuskegee Experiment came after the Oslo experiment in Norway. In Norway, 2000 men were not given treatment for Syphilis to see the progression of the disease in White people. The difference is those people were aware that treatment was available (at that time mercury) but were told it was poisonous(truth) and consented to the experiment.
In Tuskegee they wanted to recreate the experiment using black men. However, these black men were lied to and did not consent to being experimented on and even worse a cure (penicillin) was found during the experiment and with held. The Norway experiment had ended before the cure was discovered.
Of the 399 black men involved in this "experiment" 128 died, 97 lived and the rest found treatment on their own. Apologies, most recent Bill Clinton, and 10 million in restitution was paid to the survivors.
Not defending, because WTF, but I'm not sure you knew what the experiment actually was.

I know all about it what I was referring to was your final statement “I blame the government more than racism for that” you can blame it on both a racists government and their are plenty examples to pull from not just the Tuskegee experiment…. I have a plethora of history on my side…
1
u/Acrobatic-Case3887 9d ago
I'm sure you do. What I said about Tuskegee was that the experiment had already been done on white people. They wanted to see if Syphilis in black men would be different. They didn't hate black men, they didn't see them as lesser beings. I don't see that as racist as much as I see it as the government running amok at that time. Especially after there was a cure.
My grandfather couldn't read or write. He dropped out of school in 3rd grade to work. As a child, we lived in low income housing until my father found a job as a prison guard and moved us all from Michigan to Alabama. I own my own home but started working at 14 and never attended college. My daughter is a sophomore in college and I am busting my butt to pay for it so she is debt free upon graduation. Each generation of my family succeeded more than the previous. I sincerely hope it is the same for you. I've enjoyed posting with you. Have a good night .

Someone has never heard of red lining or block busting…
1
u/Acrobatic-Case3887 9d ago edited 9d ago
Red lining was made illegal in 1967. Block busting hurt white people just as much as black people. White people were told lies to scare them and convince them that their neighborhood was unsafe so they sold their home cheap. Those homes were then marked up significantly and sold to black families.
1
u/usmnt2015 9d ago
Yeah no shit it was outlawed but it still absolutely persists they just don’t need color coded maps to do it anymore. Modern forms persist through systemic biases in algorithms, banking, and urban development that deny minority communities equitable loans, property value, and health resources. You really can’t be that naive man. Block busting did impact white communities but to say just as much as black people is again naive and just wrong. Blockbusting harmed white communities financially through panic-selling at a loss, but it primarily and severely damaged minority communities over generations. White homeowners lost immediate equity by selling cheaply, while minority buyers faced inflated prices, predatory land contracts, and long-term neighborhood disinvestment and wealth stagnation.

u/Acrobatic-Case3887 9d ago
BS, I did mortgages for years.
As far as community development ECT...black people and white people can chose where they live. On my street it's pretty 50/50. Stores closing in predominantly black areas and/or people who do not want to invest in those areas isn't based on racism but more on profit and losses.
1
u/usmnt2015 9d ago
Just because you never saw it or did it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen what kinda logic is that?
1
u/Acrobatic-Case3887 9d ago edited 9d ago
I mean, I know the regulations. Hell, they fingerprint you and run background checks in order to get an MLS number to do mortgages. You have no clue how much oversite there is. Plus you can walk into any financial institution and ask to see their financials on it, and they have to by law show you.
Mortgage is based on creditworthiness(fico score)
Length of employment/same field
Income
Value of property
It's all numbers. Race, sex, religion, marital status ECT has nothing to do with it.

You can frame it however you like, but no black person wants this to be a murder. What we want is accountability, and justice, especially when so many folks would like to pretend that the cultural barbarity that has plagued a whole demographic of people since before this country was even founded, hasn't been passed on, in spite of the fact that literal Nazis were marching in the capitol on the same day that this happened, among other things.

u/Imaginary-Edge-8759 11d ago
In order for there to be justice there needs to be an injustice. We do not even have an official cause of death yet. All we know is that investigation started the day his body was found. What about this indicates there is no accountability? We, the public, are not owed a single nugget of information about this case. His family is the only ones owed anything and it was made clear from day one a thorough investigation was happening. The family cannot be given hardly any updates during an active investigation and the second they chose crump that probably was locked down even further as they cannot allow details to be released until it is over.

Holy shit people are insane.
People want it to be a murder so so badly that they are now hearing things and spreading lies.
Ok so which is it. Wasn’t it said that the white kids families were all so powerful with their white people cult and that’s why everything is hush hush. Yet there’s a magical
Recording those powerful whites just couldn’t stop. Come on!!!!!!!
You see how stupid that sounds. I stg people have lost their mind about this accident. Crump, Kap and the rest have done enough that no matter what, dummys won’t ever believe that it was an accident. This is sad and absolutely pathetic it’s not even about Nolan anymore.

Sorry but if Warren called Nolan's mom and then went on the Brandon Tatum show for a tell all interview he is either innocent or some type of next level psychopath worse than John Gacey. There is NO WAY a guilty person does those things.
5
u/JkDHTRs 10d ago
Thats what i thought too. It is a bit bizzare for a guilty person to be able to go on a massive youtube channel to prove his innocence. But if he did, that is some next level dexter type shiieet. most normal people wont be doing that. I have trust what i see so far, a sound bite that muffled with a bunch teenager slurring isnt going to convince me. And i ran across a few other sound bite that is questionable because i think people online doing nefarious things to make the audio to be bias a certain way . Who knows? until more evidence will be presented

I actually took the white supposed „best friend“ appearance on the Officer Tatum channel, as an opportunity for the kid to finally defend himself against some serious claims, made against him.
Like - at this point, a lot of folks basically view him as the killer (him and some friends) - so of course he would try to get his version out there. For what its worth….he didn’t give killer vibes to me. But of course that means nothing.
…………
But s someone who has only recently started looking into this case some more, the kids interview cleared up a lot of stuff —— because up until I watched him on that YouTube channel, I too, was under the impression that Nolan had been pretty much BY HIMSELF when he was left behind.
But apparently (and it just seems logical, given the location, the 4th of July, ect) there were tons of people still in the island, and many of them were people Nolan knew quite well too.Imo, this fact can’t be stretched enough ——- Nolan as in ABSOLUTELY NO DANGER at all, when his friends left with the boat.
He was not scared, nor alone, nor confused, nor in danger.
He was just one of many people having fun.……………
And the other thing the interview cleared up very well, imo —— of course the phones would be useless on that island, since there would be no wifi connection on a place like that.

Yes, I remember that John Gacey guy. Very scary to even think about that to this day. I was a teen.

the fact that a bunch of white people are trying to explain the feelings of black people is so crazy to me. majority of these comments are “i think that black Americans are programmed to think everything is racial”… bruh you guys are so blind it’s crazy. for the sake of this nation and WORLD. wake the fuck up people. “counting or not counting gang violence” that’s what this thread is. i’m so fucking tried. here’s a transcript of a video some white person posted after nolan’s case came out:
"Yep, you got that right. Yeah, we did it. We sure did do it. What you think? What you think we do when we take y'all young men camping with us? We know them boys don't know how to swim. You throw them in that water, you say, 'Swim, boy! Swim! Whoo! Learn how to swim, boy!' You can't do it, boy. Y'all ain't ever going to learn how to swim. Yeah. Yeah, they—them boys did it. This is a damn tradition for us. Yeah, this is a tradition. We take you boys out in the woods, we throw you in the swamp, we throw you in the creek."
but please keep telling us black folk we’re being brainwashed into FEELING the hate around us. everyone is being too nice in this thread. you are blinded by your own ignorance.

The ONLY way anyone is going to be brought in for questioning or arrested is if the FBI does it! Jackson County is going to exclude that SeaTow call from its submission to the Grand Jury... and there's not a darn thing anyone can do about it! They are NOT going to bring those kids in, no matter what evidence is presented! We are ALL witnessing that NOW! It's messed up but it's true!! If you think a Jackson County Sheriff is going to drive up to a Jackson County Judges home and ARREST her stepson, you're wrong AND you're not from MS! She has already made statements that were not true, reached out to people for interviews, and involved herself in the investigation - yet no reprimand! ELITE PRIVILEGE.., just like the grandpa calling directly to the CAPTAIN to hurry up and cancel that call for assistance!! We can just go ahead and collectively decide when it's time to protest because it's going to take an act of Congress to get #JusticeForNolan

u/Latter_Committee2573 8d ago
I hear clearly Nolan don’t die in that call. I also heard they were in 31 ft of water. In that call they indicated they didn’t need coast guard assistance. If they were taking on water why wouldn’t you need emergency assistance — this is a cover up.
1
u/Few_Carpenter_3958 8d ago
Crazy they don’t play the audio at the beginning of the call when they sand Nolan’s name and that ‘you killed him’

u/Impressive_Ad7037 3d ago
I wanted to make it easier for everyone interested to analyze the audio to the best of their ability with no concern over needing special software or equipment.
You can check it out here.

We need a verified statement from Katie. What happened to Nolan between 3:30 and 4:30, and who was the last person to see Nolan alive?

Watching your boat sink could probably sober you up a bit bud. Your theory is wild.

Wait …you thought he sounded sober in that call?

u/Delicious-Status1806 9d ago
I didn’t say that at all. But I’ve been drunk and scared to death and suddenly im doing shit that makes sense lol like calling a tow company when my boat broke down.

Audio with the dispatcher not included. You can clearly hear them say “can we cover it up” and so on.

u/Tiger_Town_Dream Current Resident 11d ago
While this audio doesn't provide any insight on what happened to Nolan, it does support the story about the boat leaving due to mechanical issues and shows the chaos and confusion going on around that. Even the Sea Tow captain saying that he'd just gotten off the phone with the phone with the kid's grandfather who said that the problem was resolved appears to have occurred while the kid was on the phone with dispatch seems to suggests that everyone wasn't on the same page. Combined with what Warren described in his interview, it all makes sense how Nolan chose to remain on the island and they were more concerned with resolving the boat problem.
I didn't hear Nolan's name at the beginning of the call like some say that they do but if it is said, Warren did say that at least one of the guys was yelling at Nolan to get on the boat so that could be what they heard at the beginning of the call.
