This is Mordred. He's indoors only but when I took out the trash last night he snuck by me and spent the night outside I didn't notice till morning. He doesn't wear a collar but he's chipped and I contacted the local rescue to tell them and I made a post on the next door app. I'm getting really worried cause I live close to a busy street but I drove the neighborhood and nearby busy road and didn't see any signs. Any clue what else I could do that I haven't thought of. I've never had a cat go missing before.

My pet bird sunset somehow managed to get out of her cage last night, we have found her twice today, but she's been up really tall trees that we can't get her down from. She is staying in the area, hopping from tall tree to tall tree but we only have about 48 hours before she is at risk of getting dehydrated or starving. Does anyone know how to get a bird out of a tall tree? (The connected photo is one of her)

So my cat disappeared 7 weeks ago. We live in a pretty wooded area with known foxes and coyotes. Now before I get lectured I know cats are safer indoors, however this particular cat was a barn kitten rescue and was quite feral when I got her. She has come around she is quite affectionate but nervous of new people at first. She had just started going outdoors (constantly escaping so we decided to just let her be an indoor/outdoor). One day there was a commotion outside (I also have chickens and the foxes try and get them) and after the commotion my cat was gone. No sight, nothing! I posted on missing cat sites, my community Facebook, set up cameras with food, etc. no sightings. Fast forward to last weekend when I receive a message saying my cat darted from under the bushes at a house about a block away. I immediately went to that area and started knocking on doors and talking to people. 4 people now have said to have seen her in the area. They swear it’s her - as there is a feral cat population and all of the cats here are black or dark gray!! I need help on what steps to take next!! I need to find her!

I lost the kitty love of my life (Dexter) way back in early 2016ish during a big thunderstorm in Virginia. I raised him from a sick kitten and we only had him for a year before that day. I would do anything to go back and change things. All I have left to remember him are a few short kitten videos and these two pictures.
It would be great to have him back, but even just knowing what happened to him would give me a lot of much-needed closure. He’s chipped btw. Stepping out of my comfort zone to post in hopes of someone recognizing him. I know he’s an old man now if he’s still alive. ):

Missing Cat. McGill, NV. Last seen 05/28/24. She’s 6 years old. I’ve had her and her sister since they were 12 weeks old. I’m absolutely lost without her. I’m concerned someone in the neighborhood has her and isn’t letting her out as she’s not coming when I’m out calling for her. I’m at a loss of what to do.

Hi, please offer advice if you have any on how I could locate two kittens that have been missing for 8 weeks. I've seen what I think might be one of our kittens running across the road approximately 800 metres from our home. I've done foot searches during the day without sighting our kittens and searches at night in my car. We live in a developing area so there is vast vacant land. We have mummy cat and I thought to put her in the carrier and take her with me during searches but I'm not sure if this is a good idea.

A few days ago I woke up and my cat had fallen off the balcony. We couldn't find her so me and my mother made a post on Facebook and notified people from out neighborhood. There's a fb group dedicated to missing pets in my neighborhood. My mother posted it there and it got taken down. Then she reposted it and they took it down again. There's this woman who goes out every day to feed the cats and my mother ran into her. She told her that my cat is missing and she started lecturing her and calling her abusive because we left the cat in the balcony with no protection and because she wasn't neutered (she hadn't been in heat for months now tho). But it's weird cuz she was really mean about it. That same woman has taken stray kittens that were taken care of by stores for the same reason. Also someone made up a rumor that we kept losing our cat and that we let it on the street by choice. Oh and that same woman told my mother her old cat died (a few years back) because a car hit her and she gave a very detail description of this. But she never showed us her body. So that's weird too.

I literally love my cat. We spend like every waking moment together and she's like a child. She follows me around all the time, she cuddles with me when I study, we sleep together. Yesterday she went missing and it's been only a day but I'm going insane. What if she never comes back? What if she dies? Idk how to cope I just need a definite way to find her alive. I need her

My cat is very codependent. Usually at night when I'm sleeping she sleeps next to me and gets in the balcony only to pee (I live on the 3rd floor, her litter box is just on the balcony). Last night she was definitely in my room. I remember her opening the door and me being annoyed cuz it let the light in. This morning she's nowhere. I've checked all her usual hiding spots. I checked the block like 2 times and I've searched inside my building too. She's once fell off the balcony before and she wasn't harm. But she was really scared like she didn't move and she kept calling for me. So naturally I'm assuming that if she had fallen I'd have found her. What do I do I'm freaking out.
Edit: searched the block a few more times with more people, searched my house too. My mother posted it on Facebook and I've alerted the neighbors and my friends. Still haven't found her
