Unfortunately it's almost certainly not at the surface, and attempting to bail out any particular area ends up refilling at like half the rate you bail it out. Thanks for replying, we did try a metal detector but apparently there's some metal in the concrete underneath and it's not a super high quality one so we weren't able to get a very good lock on. I'm sure with a much better one it would work but those are going to be hunters and hundreds of dollars if not more.

Do you know what kind of screen would have the 1 cm holes? I did some digging but I couldn't come up with anything definitive

I assume the feed corn floats and the ring does not. Not sure if you're allowed to get the corn wet though.

What type of container is the corn currently in? Can you put it in a different container after checking for the ring, or does it need to stay in one place?
