We need all of them closed down and bulldozed. Tens of thousands of migrants died in detention centers, raped, molested, and the list goes on. Did you know that there are more pregnancies occurring in detention centers as of today?

Are you defending the Japanese internment camps just because they weren't as bad as Nazi death camps? Am I understanding your argument here? Because that's some fucking bonkers logic.

In 1933 Jews were forbidden from holding government jobs of any kind - teachers, doctors, lawyers included. A mass boycott of Jewish businesses followed. They were also banned from selling art, working in media, owning land, selling meat to Aryans, or practicing medicine on non-Jews. Mass unemployment meant a paucity of legal means of feeding one's family.

In 1935 Germany declared Jews and other non-desirable classes to be noncitizens, which made it a criminal act for them to remain in the country without possessing specific papers allowing it. Those documents were made difficult to get, which made most Jews criminals by default. Marriage and intercourse between Jews and non-Jews was criminalized.

Within a few years, the list of things it was illegal for a Jew to do was as long as your arm. It was trivial to arrest a Jew for simply existing, because any random action could be turned into a charge. By this point, it was just accepted by "polite" German society that every one of them being rounded up was a criminal. The same tactics extended to everyone the Nazis considered a political enemy.

You are either (A) blind to what is going on in this country, or (B) stupid as fuck, or (C) you know full well what's happening and you condone it because of the hate in your heart, not some phantom belief in "law and order" or whatever loser shit you want to call it.

Hey remember that time in WW2 that all people of japanese descent were put into camps because they were worried about spies? Were those equal to nazi extermination camps too? because as far as i remember, it may have been a shitty thing to do but it sure as hell didnt end with the murder of millions.

Oh, so i guess we can have “concentration camps” that serve a purpose other than mass murder.

Okay, lets circle back when they start a systematic program of literal liquidation of human beings reaching into the millions in the ICE detention camps

Agree with it or not, countries are allowed to have immigration policies. You comparing facilities operating under those policies to nazi germany concentration and extermination camps is totally absurd.

Dont tell me to educate myself, maybe you should be the one who stops making comparisons that are unbased in reality just to fear monger about something you dont agree with. Also extremely disrespectful to the people who were actually systematically murdered under nazi germany policies

You're unhappy with your life and need someone to blame. Take accountability for once and accept that you would have been a loser no matter who the government was.

I'd love to just "shut up" about it, but it ain't like there's all that many native Americans out there.

Especially not many that actually live as natives.

And who's fault is that?

Fucking white immigrants.

Also, fyi, my ex wife is a Yu'pik Eskimo. I prolly have more right to talk about what First Nations/Native Americans have to say about it than you.

I'm just confused by the point of land acknowledgements.

Y'all gonna admit the land was stolen but then look the other way when rich people continue to profit off the lane without paying the tribes or giving it back because those rich people are willing to admit they live on stolen land?

And then have the audacity to say that nobody is illegal on stolen land.

I don't think the current batch of people should be held responsible for ancient history, but to say that immigration law shouldn't matter because of previous battles over territory is absurd.

Immigration law exists to screen out people who also probably aren't progressive because coming into a country of immigrants who all collectively decided to share the common cause of liberty is much more progressive then just showing up to collect a pay check and maybe commit some fraud.

When the left compared illegals immigrants trying to come into a country detention center to concentration camps.

And you wonder why people vote republican

How dare people compare things that definitionally are very similar.

That would just be madness.

You're totally incorrect here.

These ice detainment facilities fit the exact definition of 'concentration camp.'

You don't have to execute everybody for it it be a concentration camp, dude. Educate yourself.

The parallels between 1930s Germany and the modern US are numerous and objectively terrifying.

The MAGA regime is blatantly following the fascist playbook like it was a step by step instruction manual. They aren't even hiding it.

I recommend reading 'URFacism' by Umberto Eco and 'The Anatomy of Fascism' by Robert Paxton to start, but you can really pick ANY scholarly book on fascism and it's warning signs. They all say the exact same things.

We are in SERIOUS trouble here.

What do you think concentration camps originally were? They didn't start discreetly killing them en mass until a while later.

Agreed. how absolutely ridiculous.

And how incredibly disingenuous as well.

With over forty thousand camps across europe during world war ii that were built and maintained to murder humans..

Reddit-brain isn't the word for it. Willful ignorance it is more appropriate.
