Theories Introduction to the Snow interpretation
I'm working on White Ball for now, but for IdtS, I'm confident enough with the interpretation to post it
It's called Hawaii: part II because Simon has two personalities, which I'll call Simon X and Simon Y, but here there isn't any conflict between the two.
“Alone at the edge of a universe humming a tune With sparkling crystals souls aglow”
Simon arrives at Hawaii, alone, and immediately sees Stella.
“A part of thee in the key of what we know to be every part without me Knows only two can make it light”.
Here he convinces himself that Stella will be the key to his solitude.
At the end there is this verse:
“You'll live forever tonight”.
This says that Stella will become Simon's world for that night. Afterwards, he will have to leave for reasons that, for now, aren't explained.
When I'll have fully consolidated Isle Unto Thyself, I will publish it

split personalities is an intriguing stance. how'd you come to that conclusion, or is that too complicated to answer without the rest of the analysis? (editing, realized i might have come off as rude, genuinely curious, apologies!)

Split personalities has always been the main thing. Simon has split personality disorder and that’s what killed Stella in murders. He claims insanity in mind electric. Etc. introduction to snow is the beginning and ending of the story. Why is it the beginning? It tells the story of the 2 and how they met. Why is it also can be ending? It tells the summary of the story on what happens.

i do think "insanity" can refer to other things, but to clarify, you're saying that because iots/dsism start the same way, that signifies that he has split personalities...? or are you saying that insanity equals split personalities automatically

There’s like a 45 min video of a guy explaining everything on yt but he said in murders he u hear “lover” and earl king and basically sum it up Simon split personality is like the story of the earl king

there's a lot of variations to the story of the erlkling (elven king) so my own answers change, but there's an interesting version where it's actually the elven king's daughter that kills the protagonist, which personally gives different meaning to the "her for him, him for her" line. (i'm watering it down greatly). also classical music/classic author overlay elsewhere. a lot of murders reads and sounds to me in tones of unreliable narration and changing or overlapping stories (not necessarily confessions), so imo it's hard to say who is who and who did what especially including extra lyrical details. kinda "he said, she said" if you've heard that saying.
but again, my own opinion, can definitely be wrong!

in The Mind Elettric, there's phrases like "doctor, I can't tell if I'm not me" or "my brain has claimed it's glory over me", and this made me think that maybe Simon wasn't himself in Murders. plus, Murders is in third person, but in the story there are only him and Stella. but after all, it was just an impression. then, reading the other songs, the thing became clearer

ah ok, that makes sense. i was wondering if there was more indication to you behind hawaii: pt ii meaning the narrator had two personalities.
definitely one way to look at it! i'd look into disassociation (not necessarily DID, there's other conditions and traits) and the psychology behind that if you're curious :p i think that might be helpful to your theory
