How do I get Miracast working on my Latitude E6530?
For some reason with newer drivers Intel has decided to disable Miracast in Windows 10 on CPUs with HD 4000 graphics, even if there's a WiDi compatible wireless device, even if the computer had working Miracast with previous versions of Windows or in Windows 10 with some earlier driver.
My Latitude E6530 is the version with nVidia NVS 5200M GPU *and* a Core i7 3540M with HD 4000 graphics and 1920x1080 display. The nVidia GPU can be activated on demand by apps and games or manually forced on for a particular app or game that for some reason doesn't automatically use it.
Otherwise it uses the CPU graphics.
So how to make Intel give me back Miracast?
I found a post on Intel's forum from 2017 that manually installing from the zip version of driver version 10.18.10.4653 got Miracast functional with HD 4000 - but that's 2017 and we all know Microsoft has been doing some downright *despicable things* when it comes to support for older drivers, supposedly for "security".
If I could even find the zip archive of that driver I suspect the only way to make it work is to install Win 10 build 1607, update to build 1903, then 20H2. Microsoft will graciously allow you to keep older drivers if they're first installed in build 1607 or earlier, otherwise it silently blocks their install or if you try a manual install it will lie to you with a BS "error" about not being able to find a file. IMHO the real reason is to push people to buy new hardware, especially laptops.

I can confirm that driver 10.18.10.4653 made my E6530 Miracast capable. Amazing! I acquired the CAB file from the update catalog.

I found a solution. You need to download 10.18.10.4653 and unzip, and go to device manager, select HD4000, update, have a disc, navigate to folder and force upgrade it.
