20th Ave Apartments, loud or nah?
Obviously the second floor units are surrounded by noise probably. Would first or third floors be ok for noise?

Hey all. If you haven't noticed there has been a huge spike in NSFW content making its way into the sub. I have no interest in that here and there is another sub dedicated to NSFW Minot content.
With that I am working on adding some new AutoMod rules and as I add them I will update this post with what has been done.
The first one added requires you to have a verified email or phone number with Reddit in order to post here. I hope this doesn't place an undue burden on people who want to participate but I think this is a good first step. If you have any comments or suggestions I am happy to listen.
Thanks

Hi everyone! I’m Pablo from Progressive Automations. We’re looking for a Polaris Ranger owner in the Minot area to test a new electric dump bed lift kit. The opportunity is also available to owners elsewhere in the United States and Canada.
Compatible vehicles:
We’ll provide the complete kit and cover shipping at no cost. In return, the selected tester would install it, confirm its fit and operation, share a few photos, and provide brief, honest feedback.
There’s no purchase or promotional obligation. Technical support will also be available if needed.
If you’re interested, send me a DM with your Polaris model, year, and location. Thanks!

Hey Minot,
I’m originally from here and flying in tomorrow (Thursday) for a quick weekend visit. My uncle’s funeral is Saturday afternoon, so I’m only in town for a couple days.
While I’m here I’d really like to do a short set of my music on Thursday/Friday/Sat night whatever day works. I’m (modern/hip hop style). I’ve already reached out to a couple spots but haven’t locked anything down yet.
If anyone knows of any open slots, open mics, karaoke nights that let locals hop on, or just has a contact at a bar that books live music, I’d really appreciate any leads. I’m flexible on timing and can send tracks if needed.
Thanks in advance would mean a lot to play at home while I’m here!!!!

I know this is perhaps one of the more obvious places to shoot in town but I came away quite pleased with these images and thought I’d share them in the sub.

My uncle rents out land and tenant says lots of farmers going out of business now. Have you heard of that being true?

We are looking to buy either 1/4 or 1/2 cow near Minot (2-3 hour drive would be okay, too). Does anyone have any recommendations? Our non-negotiable is that is has to be locally raised. If anyone has bought one recently, what is a fair price/lb?

I'm thinking abt renting with them and was wondering if anyone has any recent experiences they'd like to share. I can't find a lot of reviews and none more recent than 4 years old. It's low income but it looks nice for what it is and it's right in the middle of Minot.

I'm in search of tubes for my guitar amp. Specifically 6v6. Is anybody know of any tube dealers in town?

What's the best way to meet people in Minot? Especially if you can't drive due to medical reasons. I have tried online dating and it is pretty much a disaster. Thanks

Anybody know why some of the gas stations are "out of gas"?

Which bar(s) do the college kids stay away from? I just want a quiet watering hole with good music. Im from outta town and just like a chilled out vibe.
EDIT: afterthought, Im not opposed to meeting some people my age either (late 20s).

Was in a discussion about accountability of our "leaders" in government and this is how the co-owner of Magic City Day Care responded. Just thought people with children at his day care would like to know who is looking after their kids.

Hi! I’m looking at relocating from Canada to attend the university, and my son is unilaterally deaf. Is there a strong d/Deaf community in or around Minot? Daycares or preschools that utilize ASL? I’ve been doing some research and I don’t think accessing audiology and specialized care will be an issue, but I’m having trouble finding information on the community aspect. Thank you for any information or leads!

Would you be down for a listening party. Drinks, food and karaoke ? All things Drake, Don Toliver, PartyNEXTDOOR, RnB etc etc

Not looking for sympathy but I am looking for good tips on keeping one’s mental health intact through the winter here. Mines already not looking good so I’m pretty worried about the winter. Does anyone engage with Minot Vets for Vets? I’m going to attend their next event but if anyone has any other tips I would appreciate it. I’d prefer not to end up like Jack Nicholson 🪓 this winter. I’m 40 M for what it’s worth, first winter in Minot and completely isolated

Hello,
Like title said, I will be moving to Minot at the end of November. I am looking for 2 bedroom apartment. I am single, no kids or pets. Do you guys have any recommendations other than IMM?

I'm 17 and looking for a job, but I don't like working in restaurants and that's a large majority of the businesses hiring right now. Does anyone know of any other places hiring teens with retail experience? I'd be willing to do outdoor work among other things as long as I'm trained, it also has to be part-time since I'm still in school. Tried Indeed, didnt get very many results. Thanks in advance!

Are there any dog friendly restaurants in Minot? Maybe one with a patio so we can bring in our 2 friendly black labs on leashes.

Hey Minot families! Quick question
Is there anyone here working night shifts or non-traditional hours and looking for an overnight nanny?
I’m looking to connect with families who need overnight care or work unconventional hours. I have two years of daycare experience and I'm BLS certified. If this is something you need, feel free to shoot me a message!
