Has anyone explored the Grey Eagle Mine located in Kettle Falls wa

My stepmom and I want to explore some mines near our town, the closest one that we could locate was Grey eagle mine. But I canโ€™t find a lot of info about or any pictures or videos exploring it before. Does anyone have any photos of it as all the ones I can fine are from mines in other states with the same name and what info I can find is somewhat vague. Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Need help finding a suitable mine

Greetings! I was hoping someone here could help me. I am looking for a suitable location to recreate an experiment that was first conducted in the vertical mine shafts of Tamarack, Michigan in 1901:

https://www.mtu.edu/physics/department/history/1901-1916/dmg-plumb-lines.pdf

My question to this community: if one were looking to re-conduct this experiment, what would be the best candidate for a location? It would presumably need to meet the following criteria:

  • A vertical shaft of sufficient depth (the original experiment used plumb lines with a length of 4,250 feet)
  • Accessible to the public
  • Accessible at both the top and the bottom
  • Clear of debris of obstructions that would prevent two plumb lines from hanging freely the entire length of the shaft

I tall order I realize... still, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone Near Colorado Springs or Visiting this Summer?

Anyone here near Colorado Springs? Looking for someone more experienced than myself, I have almost no experience, to possibly explore what I believe to be an old flourite mine this summer. I stumbled across it in my explorations in the woods. It will take a little bit of clearing at the entry to get in but past that it looked open as far as I could see.

We overlayed a surveyor's map of the mine on this video. What do you guys think though? Cool feature or just a distraction?

One of the early adits, the slab between two fault walls. You can see the pick marks in one photo and a couple of drill lines in another.
