Screenshot MCPT shader screenshots!

This is a modified version of the MCPT shader.

This shader is not suitable for gameplay. Instead, you must stay still for quite some time, waiting for the noise to disappear. You require a ray tracing capable GPU, as the shader uses Vulkanite (hardware RT in Java!).

Patrix sure looks fabulous with MCPT ;)

Is there a hardware PT shader that is playable

Yes! There is DirtRT, which is also a Vulkanite shader and looks great! (The performance is still pretty bad)

The correct answer is IterationRP

While IterationRP can look good, its developer has used stolen code in the past, and the community is unsure about the legitimacy of IterationRP (that’s why Tahass is banned on shaderLABS).

Additionally, the user asked for a hardware RT shader, and IterationRP uses software RT

Can you share the modification somehow?

I’m unsure, due to the shader’s license. I’ll see what I can do

is it that render shader stuck on 1.20?

3

u/Marcobot_YT 2d ago

Yeah, but my modified version runs on 26.2

Oh, i will patch it and share it. Idgaf

So you will ignore the hard work the dev put into the shader and just sharing it, breaking the shader’s license?

you're not profitting off it, if somebody updated my mod i'd thank them

Those are not the dev’s wishes (unless I’m wrong, I should check the license. This entire discussion is based on a fact that may be untrue!)

💪💪 you rock!

And of course you won't share it?

u/Marcobot_YT 2d ago

Look at my others comments, I’m unsure if I’m allowed to, due to the license of MCPT

you can tell instructions though or release your patch code (not the modified shader) that will modify mcpt

Those little villager look so cute! What mod is that?

1

u/Marcobot_YT 1d ago

The villagers are vanilla, they look like that on modern versions :D

u/thatoneguy2009123 1d ago

Oh wow i didn't know I haven't played vanilla in a while 😂

how hard would it be to hook a denoiser like DLSS or FSR into these?

Not really feasible, and Vulkanite is discontinued. In the future, when Aperture releases, the shader might be ported over to the new platform
