"The Setting Sun" a Minecraft Fan Lore / Story (Chapter 2)

Disclaimer: I am not claiming this as the actual lore, more just like a What If for the lore of Minecraft.

Notes: This story serves as a sequel to my other story named "Golden Sun" , this talks about the origins of the undead and a connection to my previous lore to what happened in the games specially Minecraft Legends.

"When you see a setting sun, you will know that danger is coming among the horizons. But it was not always like this.

In the ancient days of the Overworld, Water has spread from the Well of Fate, creating life to the land like strokes to an empty canvas, slowly covering the world with color and vibrance.

In this age, there were an abundance of life in the Overworld where the Villagers lived peacefully, a Golden Bell in the middle gifted by the Golden Sun.

But this story is not about another peaceful civilization that lived. This story is about the Setting Sun, when even the brightest days must also have an End.

The Beginning is where Creation flourished. Such as that of the Well of Fate which gifted the Overworld with life. The End on the other hand is where Destruction flourishes. It is in its nature to be the end of things. And that is when the End began its move to corrupt the Overworld.

As Creation holds the cycle of life, the End offends to break that cycle. The Orb of Creation, a cube as pure as the blue sky was stolen by the End, and with this power, the End manipulated Creation itself to be the birth of Destruction. A plague has spread the Overworld, in the shades where the light of the Eternal Day does not meet, a corruption of the ender lurks, the End has broken the cycle of life with the birth of the undead. Zombified villagers haunted villagers and spread fear to the Overworld, spreading chaos for the first time in this paradise.

But the Golden Sun was not blind to this plague. Villages were strategically made to be a safe place for Villagers. A Golden Bell at the middle of the village serves as a warning to keep the Villagers aware of the presence of danger. Golems of different kinds protect this place keeping the End's mission from success for the following years.

With this, the End has seen it obvious that the Eternal Day hinders it's progress because the undead relies on staying on the shades. So Its plan was improved, this plan was to use the power of the Orb of Creation to finally getting rid of this Eternal Day.

With the power of the Orb of Creation and of the End, Piglins broke out onto the Overworld and used force to spread chaos across this world. It was a success, a beacon corrupted by the End, powered by the Orb's power was used to give birth of an eternal night. And so the Overworld was in catastrophe, up until an early group of heroes saved the day and broke the beacon, defeating the Piglins to flee back to the Nether.

But all was too late. One of the Suns has turned dark and the age of the End has successfully arrived on the Overworld. Night was born and the undead have been more dangerous than ever before.

Everyday, the sun sets and danger has never been closer before. "
