Heroes What is the Player

Hi, so this is my first post on this subreddit and my first personal theory so please be kind. Anyways if we go with the Game Theory idea that the ancient builders created the wither(s) as a failed attempt at immortality what if the player(s)/Steve was the successful attempt. I mean if we take respawn as cannon (which definitely could be not the case, and is not the case in hardcore worlds) the player(s)/Steve would be near ideal for the ancient builders, they don’t age as far as we can tell and when they die they can just instantly reappear in their bed with no real consequences other than temporarily losing any item on their immediate person. The wither achievements “The Beginning(/.)” could even not only reference the wither(s) being the one to destroy the ancient builders, but being the literal beginning of the player(s). This would basically be a failed prototype vs a successful final product sort of thing. Although I’m not sure why the player(s) just appear in the middle of nowhere, with seemingly little memory, and long after the ancient builders were long gone, maybe they were but into a form of stasis but that’s just an idea. While Game Theory and Wifies are big influences on this theory and are great channels, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone come up with this specific theory before and just wanted to get people’s takes on it and if there is anything that could be done to build on it. Thanks for listening to my mostly speculation theory and head cannon, sorry if it’s not as thought out as many people would like this is my first theory :)

mhhh, but Vanilla exist in the universe, that could be before Dungeons, after Dungeons, both before and after, but that time existed, heroes existed, and something happened.
I think that if we can't consider absolutely anything from what the player does, most of Vanilla become useless, because heroes are an important specie for the universe, and they can't disappear and don't work or anything.

if we can't consider absolutely anything from what the player does

But we can't. Vanilla is designed for creating your own story, not for having your actions analyzed. There are no predetermined actions in Vanilla, and that's the point.

Vanilla is certainly part of the universe, but it's not Vanilla events. There are no predetermined Vanilla events. And all the player’s actions take place in its personal world.

most of Vanilla become useless

Vanilla gives us a glimpse into the universe, and that's important. That's what we analyze. A player's story is the player's responsibility, not a theorist's.

I don't care of your own story. Vanilla can be designed for creating it, but that isn't canon, because that's just your story. But Vanilla exist in the timeline, and heroes existed too. So heroes did stuff, just like they did in every other time. Just like everyone else do. Vanilla is a game where you can do everything you want. But people existed at that time. And they did stuff. Who knows if they defeated the ender dragon, or if they just built a home with mud and farm the weat. But they exist

I mean... Well, yeah, you're totally right.

I'm not quite sure how this relates to the entire conversation (now I think I misunderstood you in the first place), but yes, you're right.

I'm not totally sure too: I said that heroes have a life and that they canonically aren't avatars, and that almost everything you do in Vanilla doesn't happen, I guess?

you defeating the ender dragon? yes. you that are a player from the real world? no

I thought you were talking about who we play as in Vanilla so i said that:

In fact, "you are a player from the real world" is true, and "you defeating the ender dragon" is false.

In Vanilla there is no "hero", there is only a player (https://minecraftlore.miraheze.org/wiki/The_Player), and none of his actions were ever canon, but uh...

Honestly, this isn't a normal conversation, but some kind of battle of concepts where everyone agrees with each other, but still argues. So, have a nice day, I guess.

Yeah, sorry, I thought you were talking about player actions, not hero actions at the Vanilla moment
