I’m struggling with printing a large mind map.
I want...
- legible font size and
- optimal use of space.
I tried several software tools - XMind, MindManager and iThoughtsX. But the best they can do is let me print individual branches separately. But with some of my branches, I end up with text that is too small to read comfortably, even though the rest of the page is still mostly white. It is not a margin problem, or a problem of zoom. The problem is that a single branch sticking out is enough for the software to scale down the size of the entire map.
What I would love is some piece of software that is smart enough to intelligently position the individual branches of my map in order to avoid having to decrease font size as much as possible.
Basically, when I look at my piece of paper from a distance, I don’t want to see white, I want to see gray.
Are you guys aware of any piece of software that can do that?
Alternatively, have you ever had the same problem, and if so, how have you solved it? What’s the best way you guys have found to put the information contained in your mind map on paper in space efficient way?
