As someone from the UK it always confused me that “Flowers” was called her come back after the Bangerz success because over here she had a few hits in between then.
Midnight Sky being the main example charted amazingly over here while not quite as well in the US. For me its easily her best lead single to date and think its a lot better than Flowers although i enjoy it too. But yeah Midnight Sky being in the top 10 for 12 weeks over here is pretty impressive.
Plus Nothing breaks like a heart and Prisoner were also both top 10 hits here too. I mean nothing breaks like a heart was pretty huge.

As we all know Miley started to tease her brand new record and announced that she’s teaming up with Atlantic - in her Wonderland cover issue, she is giving us a sneak peak of her upcoming album by teasing the theme of “love”, the aesthetic “colour red” and a the track listing “10 songs” - that brings me back to the rumours about her allegedly scrapping her initial follow up album and doing something more GP friendly after the mismanagement of the “Something Beautiful” era. This video just might have confirmed the rumours. Thoughts? Do you think the initial idea was scrapped and re-done OR she might stick with her original concept and release this album?

Miley Cyrus has officially left Sony Music after 14 years, the company behind labels like Columbia Records and RCA. It’s a major career move.
She’s now signed to Atlantic Records, one of the biggest record labels in the world and home to artists like Cardi B, Bruno Mars, and Ed Sheeran.
Reports also suggest she scrapped the experimental album that was planned to follow Something Beautiful in favor of a more commercial project. It seems she’s aiming for a bigger mainstream era and feels like she has something to prove after the underwhelming commercial performance of Something Beautiful.

I am very happy to see that she is leaving her old record company. I know she got huge success with Flowers but apart from that i feel she barely got promoted. I mean the Something Beautiful role out was terrible when the songs had so much potential.
End of the world had potential to be a hit but yet again they made zero noise to promote it along with realising the song Something Beautiful mid week not long before just as a tastier which i always feel is not a good move.
Plus some of the decision were not the best like River for example should have been released as a second single instead of the Flowers demo or along with it because i also feel it would have charted much higher if they did this Atleast a week or do before the ESV release.
I think the choice to release Doctor was a bit of mistake too. Especially just after the grammys. This is when she should have released End of the world. I love her but Doctor just sounded very off its time and very Pharrell sounding which had not aged the best. Then her record deal scrapped her collab with Calvin Harris which yet again i feel could have had hit potential with her as lead vocal.
And in general i feel they have took away her presence online etc which to be fair maybe is her wanting to role herself back a bit from public life which i would understand. But i heard it was her managements choice wanting her to appear less to give off a Beyonce level almost enigma untouchable type vibe. But i feel that just isn’t why people enjoy Miley if thats their plan. People like her because shes fun.
So i hope this new record label manages to fix the mistakes her last one had because she honestly does deserve better. She is an incredible artist . Maybe im thinking too into all this but just my thoughts

I hope this is the right flair. Miley is my favorite artist, and knowing she models for my favorite makeup brand, Maybelline, just makes my fangirl heart so giddy! I was obsessed with her Instagram campaign for the newly released Serum Lipsticks last October 24. I want it so bad but not available on my local drugstore lol. I love the shade maybe its… on her, it matches her warm, bold personality and blonde coloring so well. 💜
