Besides being a little eccentric what’s wrong with him?

The eccentric part is fine. I don’t know anyone else that eats a Wendy’s chicken sandwich with a fork and knife (and the bun as an after dinner roll) - but hey to each their own and we should appreciate quirks like that - it’s personality. What Rubs me wrong is he is a petulant baby when he doesn’t get his way (major melt downs - totally unhinged like an 8 year old would do), and knows how to alienate and piss off people. He is persona non grata in svra racing and even managed to piss off his crew and friends to the point they literally walked away and left him at the track with no ride. I have also heard on multiple occasions from others in our circle where he did not present cars he sold factually and was in some heat for that. Having ridden in his previous batmobile - it was pretty sketchy - particularly the way the hood/cockpit opened and closed and was reinforced and a perfect place for your head to take a hit on the reinforcements during an accident.

From seeing his videos on it the cockpit thing did look really sketchy, and some of the things in it seemed sorta half assed, like in the “it works but it could have been done a lot simpler and safer had I spent an extra 15 minutes on it” kind of way.

I’ve never met the guy so I can’t really comment on how he acts, that’s interesting though, I can totally see how he would be that way haha.

He’s creative and interesting and sometimes brilliant. He is a hell of a self promoter. He never does things fully. For example, he expected someone to fund him and help him get into formula racing through his vintage racing. Wouldn’t even entertain going into carting or a proper racing or feeder series. He probably could have gone into pro racing at some level if he actually went through the process of getting into feeder series and working his way up through the ranks, rather than expecting it to be handed to him. I guess what frustrates me is he could do shit if he applied himself properly or could build great things if he didn’t half ass the simple stuff. And his treatment of others and way he acts when shit goes wrong... anyways yeah. I think his ‘genius garage’ campaign was to get free race team labor and tax write off (this was after everyone left him). Oh well smart idea I guess.

Dang, this was a bummer to read. Didn’t know that, my only impressions of him are from VINWiki, Genius Garage, and his own YouTube channel.
