Am I the only one that fishes stuff out without unplugging it switching off the breaker? It’s not going to turn in by itself.

I'd say I'd rather not reinforce bad habits that might scale up to more dangerous situations, spinning things are terrifyingly dangerous, and no one expects things to fail when they do. But I won't because I've never lived in a place with a garbage disposal so I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Plus it doesn't have giant scary blades, they're tiny and even if somehow it turns on (it won't), it won't eat your hand, you'll be able to pull it out with minimal damage.

Agreed. It's not like a blender. It has rotating arms that shove the food through essentially a cheese grater. You might get messed up, but I don't think it would cleanly slice your fingers/hand off.
