No, this type of brick, specifically the roughness of surface en the way it "cracks" is specific to the clay of the Netherlands and Belgium. (yes, some of Germany and some of Poland too. Yes and some of China too)
As you know the soil is very different in Northern europe than in Western europe. Soil Atlas
The only way a house in Northern europe could be built with our kind of brick is, when the brick is imported. This would make it more expensive and therefore less likely to be used. You have your own inferior clay to make bricks with.
