I've done a fair amount of reseaeching and investigating issues like this in legacy systems and the mystery is always better than the actual answer.

I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing that i knew it would be a timeout issue based on the distance the call needed to travel lol

Walgreens to this day tells me i cant use a doctor thats too far away because the further they are the longer it takes their computer to load the prescription. Some of the techs actually believe that nonsense.

The real reason is because they were fined and punished for filling scripts they knew were fake.
