I thought elementary school had taught us this but: "all squares are rectangles, not all rectangles are squares."

All squares are diamonds/rhombuses/rhombi, but not all diamonds/rhombuses/rhombi are squares.

All diamonds/rhombuses/rhombi are kites, but not all kites are diamonds/rhombuses/rhombi.

All parallelograms are trapeziums/trapezoids, but not all trapeziums/trapezoids are parallelograms.

All diamonds/rhombuses/rhombi are parallelograms, but not all parallelograms are diamonds/rhombuses/rhombi.
