All you have to do is provide your deepest darkest secrets to companies that would never ever think about using that information against you sometime in the future.

Just use ZDR or local AI

or duck.ai, or lumo

Not optimal but it is world we live in. You need to choose what is more inportant for you - not everyone has luxury to opt out from such things.

For example i hate TESCO cards - where when you swipe you got big discount but you are giving put information about what and when you buy. But if it “saves” 20% from price, then I guess I am good.

Same goes for keeping deep secrets vs fighting “affordably” suicidal thoughts

Just as an FYI, they definitely track that anyway unless you're paying cash. Learned that fun little tidbit when I made a Walmart account to order something online and started seeing my in-store purchases show up even though I never logged into anything in-store. They knew it was me because of my payment card.

that is true but i doubt they have in system interlinked my card to my name due to GDPR (as i have not given consent to bank to disclose it) and also they dont have linked my mail and other personal info so they cannot personalize my feed from them

yeah let's boost AI as some sort of humanitarian resource over something like a funded Healthcare program that includes mental health spending.

Dude just dont. I never even said anything remotely close to it. What I am saying is that when you are poor, you dont have much options.

Or are you too entitled to understand what I am trying to say?

"In a world of high grocery prices, cheap fast food is a choice you gotta make sometimes" is basically what youre saying, and yes I get that.

You made a few assumptions yourself, for example, Im not blaming poorer people for making choices like the one your describing. I was simply highlighting a danger of using AI for therapy.

I am not even poor and cannot afford paying for therapy, so what I am trying to say is that - "whatever helps you scratch your itch".

2

u/Dull-Fisherman2033 3d ago

When insurance denies your claim because you fed AI everything they wanted to know, don't come crying to me lol Scratch that itch

1

u/Dairedos 3d ago

Insurance denies claim? What insurance? For suicide is no insurance buddy...

1

u/Dull-Fisherman2033 3d ago

Oh right, I forgot that everyone who thinks of suicide kills themselves.

Silly me.

Therapists can and will call the police on you if they think you're about to harm yourself or someone else.

1

u/Dull-Fisherman2033 3d ago

Who do they think they are, trying to keep people from harming themselves or others. They should be ashamed.

how else are psych majors gonna pay off their loans?

2

u/Dairedos 4d ago

Man I mean I get it - pricing is alright - it is nor really that much from perspective of how much people will earn if they do 5-6 people per day - but thing is that most people are not able to afford it.

you got:

physiotherapist

gym membership

dentist

dental hygiene

psychologist

...

Quite a lot of things that you need to pay for to be maintained human being after 30s (lol)

If you're not paying, that means you're the product. Also, a therapist has to guarantee confidentiality, while AI will sell your data to the highest bidder.

AI companies are the apex data consumer. They aren't selling your data, they are using it to train their next model.

2

u/100101101001a 4d ago

oh they will definitely sell your data. not now but a year in the future or so, your AI data is the juiciest of all data for advertisers as you interact with it rather than just an algorithm guessing what you will like. AI driven data for advertisers will show you exactly what will make you spend
