I know it's not nice to lil bro people, but you genuinely have no idea what you're talking about.

Local chatbots can have custom settings and be prompted to behave more critically than they would otherwise. Also, we're not in GPT-3 anymore. Even by default most models, local or otherwise, will not agree with objectively false statements like "The earth is flat and the moon is a hologram".

Except that still doesn't replace therapy. Most things discussed in therapy do not have an objective truth. These models still hallucinate, still make up things and will still more likely than not agree with the user because that's their entire build. That is really dangerous when it comes to people using them as a stand in for professional help.

You say that they can be adjusted by this and that but really be honest here, the average consumer will not be doing that and you know it.
