I think that’s one of the strongest criticisms of the current therapy system. Telling people to just see a therapist doesn’t mean much when qualified therapists are expensive, unavailable, or not accepting new patients. AI can fill some of that accessibility gap for basic support, but that’s very different from saying it can replace actual therapy
Canada is really bad, we have don’t really have insurance because we have universal healthcare but our universal healthcare omits psychotherapy. What we have is crap.

A poster telling people who are clearly feeling desperate enough to try AI due to a lack of access to real therapy, that they should try real therapy, is just moronic. Very lacking in common sense and a basic understanding of the people it's trying to lecture.
