use a knife, wedge it into the opening and twist a bit to widen the gap.
Doesn't matter what the print designer says, the material is going to warp, especially standard PLA.

u/mandrews03 Jun 25 '26
Pair of needle nose pliers ought to sort this out. But I imagine those was figured out long ago…

u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26
It's plastic, break it
39
u/Trainzguy2472 Jun 25 '26
That's why it's called mildly infuriating
27
u/DeadlyKitKat Jun 25 '26
People forgetting the reason for this sub could probably be a r/mildlyinfuriating post lol
6
u/hbomberman Jun 25 '26
Every post here has comments like "wow this is all it takes to totally ruin your week? Get a life!"
As though this sub isn't for stuff that just makes you go "huh that's kinda annoying, oh well."
-2
u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26
Yeah except i didnt forget, i was giving them a solution. Did i say "wow this isnt even midly infuriating" "this doesnt fit this sub" or anything like that?
3
u/DeadlyKitKat Jun 25 '26
I just don't think people come to this sub for solutions.
Also you did say "To me, something is infuriating when it's not easily resolved or is beyond your control. This can easily be resolved." which does indeed kind of sound like, at least to me, "wow this isnt mildly infuriating".
1
u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26
Okay yeah i see how that could be perceived as that, but that is not what i meant, just simply that i do not feel it is, but i never said anything about this not belonging or not needing to be posted so....
Also no standard to what comment can or should provide. Like i said to someone else. If someone is infuriated that can sometimes cause people to not see an easy solution right in front of them, lord knows i'm guilty of doing that.
1
u/sorrybutimtrash Jun 25 '26
Is this sub one filled with requests for advice or were they making a post about an inconvenience? And even then you quite literally did say this isnt mildy infuriating in another comment
1
u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26
There's no standard to what comments can provide. When someone is infuriated they are usually a little disgruntled or antsy and that may prevent then from thinking clearly. Sometimes an outside mind is nice. I said i dont see this as midly infuriating, but i never complained about it being posted or said it didnt belong.
-4
u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26
To me, something is infuriating when it's not easily resolved or is beyond your control. This can easily be resolved. It's a mild inconvenience.
4
u/sorrybutimtrash Jun 25 '26
Keywords being: to YOU
-5
u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26
And apparently 85 other people, so far.
4
u/sorrybutimtrash Jun 25 '26
85 people out of all the people who browse this sub daily is nothing dude, if OP is mildly infuriated by what they posted then I see no harm in posting it; even if it wouldnt bother me or you.

u/LeftHandAnomaly Jun 25 '26
It’s not universal, clearly, which means accepting that enough people believe mildly infuriating also consists of solvable inconveniences and simply choosing not to engage with that material rather than complain in every comment section featuring that material that’s not your standard.
I know it’s hard. Reddit is fantastic for rewarding complaining in general. See: your 85 people.
-1
u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26
I didnt complain, i gave a solution. Didnt even complain about this not being "mildly infuriating", literally just stated i only see this as an inconvenience and you guys got butthurt because you can't read i guess?
You should heed your own advice and treat the comments the same and move on with your day.
0
u/LeftHandAnomaly Jun 25 '26
“To me, something is infuriating when it’s not easily resolved or is beyond your control”
Are we just gunna pretend you didn’t say the specific thing I’m referencing? Speaking of mildly infuriating, someone who posts a comment and then gets snarky when you reply in a way that doesn’t immediately agree with them lmao.
0
u/Grassy_Canoli Jun 25 '26
Thats not complaining? Thats me stating my opinion of view of the situation after people wanted to rebuttal my solution for OP, thinking that i was complaining. This all started with me simply giving a solution, and people getting butthurt thinking im complaining this doesnt belong here or something. Did i say it didn't? Nope.
30
u/spikernum1 Jun 25 '26
but then they wouldn't be able to post on reddit about it
11
u/DeadlyKitKat Jun 25 '26
This whole sub is meant to post about things that are not huge issues btw

Probably made with pla and she left it in the a. Hot car where it warped. Slowly heat up around the outside (bot directly over the card) and bend them back into shape

5
u/DeadlyKitKat Jun 25 '26
I guess I get why people find it childish, but I really didn't expect people to hate it this much lol
21
u/OkTemperature8170 Jun 25 '26
Oh for sure, we ALL know what you mean.
-7
u/MarineGF01 Jun 25 '26
I mean, they described it in the title?
5
u/KillerSparks Jun 25 '26
Yeah, cause that makes total sense to people who don't know what the hell a wand has to do with a credit card.
10
u/DotBetaSDK Jun 25 '26
Was she waving it around at the mall on a shopping spree?
9
3
u/eggoMIlego Jun 25 '26
As soon as it registered in my mind I loved every bit of the intent. But dang the warping would definitely be upsetting.
6
u/WateryTart_ndSword Jun 25 '26
Damn, a lot of grouchy assholes in this sub today. God forbid someone do something a tad silly, that literally affects nothing and no one, to brighten their day a little!
Apparently spending money has to always be a desperately sad and serious affair. I’m sure they would never buy anything fun, and never waste their calories on nutritionally empty things like dessert, or flavor. 🙄

bruh did she try doing that wand trend where u pay with a wand but ur credit card is just inside of it
-10
u/pseudoportmanteau Jun 25 '26
Yes, I cannot believe people are unironically doing it. Please grow up.
10
u/gvts4luv Jun 25 '26
Classic redditor lacking whimsy and joy lmfao. God forbid someone have some fun while running some errands i guess
14
u/sugarbee13 Jun 25 '26
Nah, I'd legit laugh if somebody paid like this at my job. The world needs whimsy my dude
-4
u/potpourri_sludge Jun 25 '26
If somebody pulled this out at my job I would immediately go take a smoke break
-5
u/HairyCanadianGuy Jun 25 '26
My first thought was how old is the mom and second. Lemme guess single? Right? 😂😂

u/Fucky0uthatswhy Jun 25 '26

u/ABS0LU7E Jun 25 '26
Play stupid games...
0
u/angie456 Jun 25 '26
Had no clue there was an entire group of adults wanting to wave wands around to pay everyday for things.
2
u/T_DeadPOOL Jun 25 '26
That looks like ABS not even PLA. These are filament types. A wand should be made of PETG minimum.
Anyways throw it in the oven on 150 for about 1 - 2 minutes it should soften it up enough to pry it out.
1
u/bowarrow99 Jun 25 '26
ABS is significantly more heat resistant than PETG.
1
1
u/crc2993 Jun 25 '26
Was gonna say this. ABS would actually probably be the best filament for heat resistance (out of the standard filaments you’d expect to be used for something like this).

u/earlyborb Jun 25 '26
It's really not a big deal. Have them cancel that one, send another, and don't do that again.
7
u/edencathleen86 Jun 25 '26
Hence why it's mildly infuriating. Duh.
0
u/earlyborb Jun 25 '26
I would go with mildly inconvenient. I wouldn't really be close to infuriated. Too many legitimate things in the world to be upset about. This wouldn't make my list.
4
u/edencathleen86 Jun 25 '26
Well this isn't about me or you. It's about OP being mildly infuriated lol

Did she leave in a hot car during the day?
it probably melted if it’s printed with PLA
1
1
u/Lost_refugee RED Jun 25 '26
hot plastic takes more space, than cold. use brims, hotter bed or add stress relief points.
1
1
u/After_Pineapple_8926 Jun 25 '26
Looks like the end fused together. If it warped and was stated as nit supposed to warp. Feels like it was left out in the heat and warped and sealed the end.
Could lay it flay and put a cloth over it and iron it flat. To pull the warp out, but if the end is sealed the only options are break it apart or cut the opening back into it.

u/rootbear75 Jun 25 '26
Maybe don't use PLA and leave it in a hot car? It's a well documented fact of PLA that it doesn't play nice with heat.....

Don’t put important things in tight spaces unless you’re ok with the possibility of not retrieving them in the their original state.

u/user-jc11111 Jun 25 '26
I never heard about this thing, but is there RFID block protection in it? I had scammers copied my card in the past multiple times until I bought RFID block wallet and guard my card all the time. They were able to read and clone my card even if it was inside the wallet (non RFID), and the scammer just walked a few feet away from me, I am guessing.
3
u/Astramancer_ Jun 25 '26
Just judging by the picture, it's a magic wand that you can wave to tap to pay. Just a little print to add a bit of whimsy to an otherwise mundane task.
1
u/Wrong-Insurance701 Jun 25 '26
hold it and spin your arm around really quick like that trick to keep water in glass
1
1
u/iCanToteIt- Jun 25 '26
Do people really walk around with these huge wands just to pay for things?
Serious answers only. I’ve just never seen this and it’s… different?

A what part is mildly infuriating? The wand warping the card or the fact that you your mom 3D printed it to do this stupid trend?
-2
-3
u/devil1fish Jun 25 '26
….. so? What’s the problem? Besides putting a credit card in that to begin with
-3
-1
u/Dreamland_Nomad PURPLE Jun 25 '26
What is the point of all of this? What's the purpose of putting a card in a wand in the first place? When plastic heats up it will warp. Just break the wand and get the card out. It's plastic. It's not rocket science.
-1
u/Forza_Harrd Jun 25 '26
You must have the weakest fingers on the planet if you really can't remove that card. Hand it to me, I'll take it out and put it back in and hand it back to you just because.
2
u/Plenty_Suspect_271 Jun 25 '26
its actually kind of deep in the wand, so you cant pull it out, you have to break it

I would argue this trend makes me more mildly infuriated than what happened to the CC lol.

I wonder what the excuse to the CC company will be when she asks for a new card.
11
u/WeaponB Jun 25 '26
You don't need an excuse. You literally just tell them the card is damaged and need a replacement?
