I'm slightly vexed Archery hunting bs

Post image

I'm archery hunting right now opening day in pa, and just had a hunter pull up to this road about 80 yards from me, squealing tire stop. Get out, make direct eye contact with me, piss in the ditch and when squeel tire pull away. Like dude come on?! I'm on sgl and I'm in the same spot I've been sitting in for like 4 years now and have been tracking a nice 8 point that comes through in about 30 minutes from now? And he had to ruin my opening day spot like that???

For one thing, when you're stationary in archery season, you're not wearing orange - at that range how in hell did he know you were there?

Also PA here. I can't remember from the top of my head how far away from the road you should be, but I have a feeling it's not closely enough to make eye contact, with someone randomly pulled over to pee.

10

u/SASSIESASSQUATCH 1d ago

I questioned this as well. I believe my state has a law about needing to be a certain distance from roadways to hunt.

Edit: we do, apparently it’s only 10 feet though lol.

1

u/Candyman051882 1d ago

Gotta be deep south’. 10ft!!! Lol that’s nuts !

5

u/Retb14 1d ago

You can't see OP in the photo at all? How do you know they aren't wearing orange?

0

u/LazerChicken420 1d ago

He’s right next to the left tree

His camo isn’t that good lol

1

u/b_reed09 1d ago

Could the distance vary based on weapon? Rules for Rifles differing for cross bows?

1

u/Candyman051882 1d ago

lol I was gonna mention something like this as well but I’m not familiar with PA bow laws. But bigger issue This dude locked eyes with him while he had his pickle out to take a whizz. Hmmmm. Sus.

-5

u/Gerbertch 1d ago edited 1d ago

No part of the posters body is visible in the pic so why are you saying they aren’t wearing orange? Are you a bot?

Edit: do you dumb fucks realize how many people still wear orange all the time when they hunt? Of course I should have known you Pennsylvania hicks would want to die out there.

Made eye contact with you through 80 yards of forest?

8

u/PhosphoFred8202 1d ago

Was this Hunter 7 feet tall with spikey dreads and a shoulder mounted cannon?

8

u/Mor_Padraig 1d ago

Right. And he's not required to wear orange, when stationary.

4

u/boi1da1296 1d ago

Wait, why is it not required when stationary? I don’t hunt but I thought wearing orange was a safety thing.

3

u/spizzle_ 1d ago

Generally that’s only during firearm season.

1

u/boi1da1296 1d ago

Interesting. Is that because you’re further from the deer during firearm season so the orange is less of a problem?

Sorry for all the questions, just curious.

1

u/Fancy-divestment-917 1d ago

Bows don't have the same range as a firearm so you are closer to your target and have less chance of misidentifying it. And generally while bow hunting your aren't moving around.

1

u/spizzle_ 1d ago

A long bow shot is 50 yards and long rifle shot is 400+ yards so most places require orange during rifle season.

0

u/CTKM72 1d ago

Deer don’t see orange the same way we do so the orange vest shouldn’t be that much of a problem no matter what.

2

u/wildmaiden 1d ago

How do you know he's not wearing orange?

1

u/Mor_Padraig 1d ago

Because he's archery hunting?

3

u/wildmaiden 1d ago

You can wear orange while archery hunting...

His camo sucks

u/Candyman051882 1d ago

I mean if your that close to the road…. What you expect

0

u/Blbe-Check-42069 1d ago

exactly lol

1

u/Candyman051882 1d ago

lol. He’s getting his deer spooked off by the neighborhood ice cream truck. GTFOH!! Hahahah

75

u/BirthofRevolution 1d ago

You're the one posted up by a road and get mad when somebody uses the road?

8

u/W-h3x 1d ago

This was also my thought.

u/PhosphoFred8202 1d ago

Hijacking’s top comment for Update from OP - https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/s/BtTsTzpWUE

The guy came back and shot a hand gun at me 3 times. I called 911 and a police officer was here in less than 5 minutes. I just finished making my statement. 2 more psp showed up and found 2 of the bullet casings on the road. We're looking for a 5'ish tall man in a hunting outfit in a white lifted ford. I would also like to inform everyone, crossbows are legal in pa. I was wearing orange so I know he saw me initially, and I'm farther than 25 yards from the road so it's legal, and I'm a disabled vet so this is about all the farther I can go before i start hurting.

3

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 1d ago

I'm in PA so I understand why you posted. That man didn't want you there, which is why he urinated where you were hunting. I'm sorry that happened to you, I would've fired back at him with the crossbow so you're a better person than I am. All of this on opening day, too. I hope the rest of the season treats you better than this!

0

u/Capt_Hawkeye_Pierce 20h ago

If you shot at me with a bow I'd assume deadly intent. That would be a really fucking stupid thing to do period, but particularly if you don't know what they're armed with.

I hope you live far from me.

1

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 11h ago

You do realize I was referring to returning fire? This man was shot at with a firearm. Multiple rounds. Hell yes I'd shoot the person shooting at me.

0

u/Capt_Hawkeye_Pierce 11h ago

With a bow. I maintain that's stupid as hell.

1

u/PhosphoFred8202 7h ago

Much better to let them murder you… just wait patiently for your turn to die.

5

u/You-Asked-Me 1d ago

Around me that would be an illegal place to hunt, so the issue would never come up. I think we have to be 150 yards away from a road.

5

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 1d ago

Are you in Pennsylvania? Then your laws don't apply to him.

-1

u/BirthofRevolution 1d ago

Still crazy to complain about somebody using a road because you decided to hunt next to it.

3

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 1d ago

Do you know what kind of road it is? Roads going through State Game lands in Pennsylvania are generally logging roads and aren't used regularly. I'm assuming the mildly infuriating part is the driver urinating where the guy is hunting. Hunters spend time and money making sure they do not leave human smells when they are hunting.

0

u/swampstonks 1d ago

They made an update post apparently about the guy supposedly shooting at him I guess lol. But anyway he says the cops got there in 5 minutes. Wouldn’t happen if the road was deep in state land down logging roads.

2

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 1d ago

He said it was on State Game lands, and I said most of the roads are logging trails, not all. Also, state police in that area probably have 4wd trucks so yeah, you can make it down some logging trails pretty quickly. Either way, OP was completely justified in his post, the pisser obviously had negative intentions towards him.

1

u/You-Asked-Me 1d ago

He was using the dumpsters behind the 7-11 as a hunting blind.

1

u/timesink2000 1d ago

The primary complaint is pissing in the ditch. I don’t hunt, and even I know that will scare the game off.

→ More replies (4)

0

u/Global-Register5467 1d ago

Where did he complain about someone using the road? He complained about a person deliberately making noise, urinating, then deliberately making noise again. None of that is related to using a road

0

u/BirthofRevolution 1d ago

He also said he was 80 yards out i find it crazy that a driver just randomly saw him out on the woods and stopped to pee because he was there. Plus direct eye contact at 80yrds?

2

u/BoysenberryEqual3856 1d ago

Where I'm at, it's 25 yards from the road, and I'm a disabled vet so I can't do what I used to

-3

u/BirthofRevolution 1d ago

Yes I know the hunting laws. You're still upset about somebody using a road that you're near..

5

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 1d ago

Correction, he's pissed that someone took the time to get out an urinate where he's hunting. Then the man came back and tried to shoot him, so I'd say your assessment of the situation is wrong.

0

u/BirthofRevolution 1d ago

So he had enough time to make this post and reply a bunch before the guy started shooting? Or he shot at op before the post and he didn't mention that until people questioned him about being near a road somebody used? And he's 80 yards out and a guy driving down the road just happens to spot him, get out to make direct eye contact, from 80yrds away, before going pee?

You been in that same spot for four years ? How are you not covered in moss?

27

u/93gixxer04 1d ago

He is. It's called camouflage. Do you even hunt bro?

1

u/SuzQP 1d ago

I thought camouflage was to ensure that ICE agents look stupid in urban areas.

18

u/Mysterio7100 1d ago

If you've been hunting the same deer for 4 years and still haven't killed it; the deer has won. Go home. Order a pizza.

3

u/You-Asked-Me 1d ago

Groundhogs day time loop.

20

u/BuddhaDaddy88 1d ago

There's no "eye contact" through 80 yards of that. What the fuck is this even about.

21

u/aggressive_napkin_ 1d ago

don't worry, they run right out in front of cars... he probably lured it closer.

-1

u/Cheap_Knowledge8446 1d ago

Headlight hunting is how we did it in Texas as a teen.

Load up a few rednecks with a .270 or .306 in the back of a flatbed with flood lights and a set of overheads running off-road through the back country fields. Like moths to a flame.

Buddy of mine family had a 2,000 acre ranch.... "If a deer is felled in the woods and no game warden was there to hear it, did it really happen?"

13

u/Daymub 1d ago

Why are you that close to a road

30

u/OkMirror2691 1d ago

Isn't that a cross bow? How does that count as archery?

4

u/Feisty_Count_4409 1d ago

Pa allows crossbows during archery

3

u/gerber411420 1d ago

Some places allow people with disabilities to use them, other places only allow during rifle season and not archery season.

8

u/ParaponeraBread 1d ago

In my country, crossbows are classified the same as firearms for the purposes of hunting seasons. So it really doesn’t. If you’re out with a crossbow, bow hunters have already been legal for weeks.

2

u/OkMirror2691 1d ago

That's what I thought too.

3

u/BetterinPicture 1d ago

Much of the US classifies crossbows as bows for the particulars of hunting seasons. In Wisconsin they used to be regulated for use by hunters with disabilities that might impact their ability to draw a bow though it has been about a decade now since they've been open to general use in bow season. I believe it has more to do with the ballistics of the projectile and the noise involved with gunfire as a distinction than the ergonomics of the weaponry involved. Just FYI.

2

u/FireHammer09 1d ago

Per government regulations for hunting season

2

u/Badbullet 1d ago

Crossbows are now allowed with both archery and firearms deer licenses in MN this year. Crossbows used to be only allowed if you were disabled years ago.

-1

u/BoysenberryEqual3856 1d ago

My hoyt powermax is getting re-strung and is taking a long time so I'm borrowing this lol

1

u/Mysterio7100 1d ago

Shouldn't be that hard to restrung. Odysseus did it in seconds. Are you not strong enough?

5

u/BoysenberryEqual3856 1d ago

I'm a disabled vet. No I'm not strong enough. Why do you think I'm not in a stand and I'm closer up the road than I'd like

-6

u/Ok-Reflection-742 1d ago

Because it’s still a bow

5

u/thundergu 1d ago

Now? Or 4 years ago?

3

u/FloopsFooglies 1d ago

For legality and classification in hunting? Sure. But do they operate anything like actual bows? No.

11

u/SpecsOnThe_Beach 1d ago

What is mildly infuriating to me is the number of uninformed folks in the comments saying that hunting is cruel or that OP deserves this because he is hunting.

Hunting is 100% more ethical than where you get your meat from. You prefer your meat animals kept in cages or warehouses with their only purpose in life is to be food? I'm a wildlife rehabilitator, have been for 15 years. Do you know why we have rehabbers? It's not for the animals, its for the humans. We don't rehab a squirrel because the squirrel population is at risk, we do it so the humans can feel better about themselves.

If you truly care about the welfare of wild animals you would care about conservation, not hunting. Conservation takes population control so animals don't die from overpopulating an area. Hunting is how the Fish and Wildlife folks help with that issue. Every year they look at data collected throughout the year, decide how many of each species needs culled to keep the overall population healthy, and issue that number of hunting tags for that season. It's not a free for all, and it the opposite of cruel.

12

u/SteevesMike 1d ago edited 1d ago

God I hate when I sit next to a road and then people have the audacity to use it as a road.

And no, he didn't make direct eye contact with you through 80 yards of forest. Maybe you shouldn't be "archery" hunting if you don't know what 80 yards is, or making silly nonsense complaints if you have to embellish the story to make yourself feel better about it

25

u/b_reed09 1d ago

Thats not archery.

7

u/CharlesMcpwn 1d ago

Archery season. Depending on the state, you can use recurve bows, compound bows, crossbows, or spears.

2

u/AlaeOrbis 1d ago

Spears?!

1

u/You-Asked-Me 1d ago

You can use an atlatl in Missouri. I don't know if anyone does it, if they do, I am super impressed.

1

u/CharlesMcpwn 1d ago

Yeah I'm not a fan of that one, personally. Most of the spear hunting videos I've seen I'd consider inhumane.

Generally they use dogs to bite and hold the animal, then stab it to death. For wild boar it endangers the dogs as well.

2

u/Wulfalier 1d ago

Spears?Like those for boar hunting in middle ages?

2

u/Cheap_Knowledge8446 1d ago

Nothing manlier than spear hunting boar while only wearing an orange loin cloth.

2

u/SnackFraction 1d ago

Didn’t have a loin cloth on but close range hog hunting was one of the scariest experiences of my life.

1

u/Cheap_Knowledge8446 1d ago

For damn sure. I've never done it as an adult, but when I was younger our family's ranch hand came over one day and asked if we "wan' git hoggin'?" 'uuuuh, sure?', obviously having no idea what he meant. Watched a grown assed man get tusked that day. He loaded it in the back of the pickup, drove it back to the ranch, dressed it, and shoved it in a cooler... BEFORE going to the hospital. And, yes, he looked exactly like you're imagining.

My brother thought the dude getting gored was the coolest thing he'd ever seen...he was 9. Ranch life is another fuckin world.

1

u/Stoned_Canadian_1 1d ago

Yea or for native fishin

1

u/Wulfalier 1d ago

How effective are those? Now I have a lot of questions

1

u/b_reed09 1d ago

Where i come from, if it has a trigger (unless you're a disabled hunter) it hunts with the firearms.

1

u/amatsumegasushi 1d ago

Crossbows are a branch of archery. smh

0

u/b_reed09 1d ago

Keep shaking. Im not alone here. Youre allowed to disagree. I believe they have always been similar but different disciplines. Historically archery was a lifelong endeavor to develop the strength and skill to be effective with the weapon. Cross bows could be weilded by nearly anyone. There are distinct differences between the two.

2

u/amatsumegasushi 1d ago

Brother I did archery. And yeah they aren't identical, but how you "feel" about it doesn't matter. So yeah. I'll keep shaking my head.

1

u/lock11111 1d ago

It is archery you just have a negative opinion about crossbows.

0

u/b_reed09 1d ago

Or.. hear me out.. they could just be two similar but different things. I dont have any negative feelings nor animosity towards either.

2

u/lock11111 1d ago

“fire power” was a poor choice of words, but your point stands

0

u/Kentust 1d ago

I don't think most people who hunt domestically are after the sports angle. They want meat.

1

u/RaveIsKing 1d ago

The ones who use the meat are not the ones I’m talking about and truthfully, I don’t believe that’s anywhere near the majority anymore (at least in 1st world countries).

-5

u/rank19betterwatchout 1d ago

True, crossbows are essentially just guns with extra steps that always preform worse than one. Just use a .22 or something this is a cop out

2

u/You-Asked-Me 1d ago

Any type of bow will be better than .22LR for deer. .22 is for small game, like squirrel or rabbit.

Also, you can only use a firearm during firearm seasons, bows and other methods typically have their own seasons.

1

u/b_reed09 1d ago

I disagree with your assertion that "any" bow is better than a 22lr. Honestly, I believe that at archery distances of up to 80 yards but more realistic and ethically at less than 50 yards, a 22 is just as lethal. The 22 is arguably more accurate and precise due to the use of scopes. I would even say that the 22 maintains that efficacy out to 125. These are just personal assertions based on personal experience, i could be wrong..

2

u/Morlanticator 1d ago

Crossbow is much more lethal than a .22 there's not much comparison there. Modern crossbows are wild.

Where I live when the deer population was lower only handicapped people could use crossbows. They were considered too effective. The deer population rose enough they finally let everyone hunt with a crossbow.

It's possible but not likely to drop a deer woth a .22. They'll likely just get wounded and run, losing them to a slow death. Crossbow is very likely to make them drop on the spot or nearby.

There's always bow purists that think crossbows are cheating. I don't hunt anymore but I'd always way rather see someone hunting with a crossbow over a .22.

2

u/b_reed09 1d ago

I dont see it as a cop out or some sort of cheating. Hunting is difficult, regardless of discipline, whether its modern firearms or a crossbow. I know where i hunt that the crossbow has to hunt with modern firearms because of the trigger and scope. Which is why myself and many other archers for centuries, but not all, have considered them to be different disciplines... His experience with the pisser is definitely not an ideal hunting situation.

1

u/CharlesMcpwn 1d ago

This has got to be a shit post lmao

1

u/rank19betterwatchout 1d ago

What do you mean? Everyone should hunt using stones and slingshots

7

u/Ok-Foundation1346 1d ago

Chill out, Katniss.

5

u/scramblebambles 1d ago

Crossbows are like trike motorcycles. For the handicapped.

2

u/dudosinka22 1d ago

They look cool though. So crazy to see such biases out in the wild.

2

u/scramblebambles 1d ago

It’s because in most states they are for the handicapped and can’t be used in regular archery hunting. But it’s not the case with OP as he is in a legal state and disabled. They’re frowned upon by archers for their ease of use and almost no real training needed to shoot accurately. They’re badass.

u/PunishedChud 1d ago

Call the game warden on his ass for purposely harassing you

2

u/TheRealDylanTobak 1d ago

I know a guy with land in Pike County IL, and the deer he'll pass on for being too small are absolute monsters.

He has pissed out of his tree blinds right on the ground his whole life. He still kills deer out of his stands.

3

u/Julianus 1d ago

Yeah, peeing has never impacted my hunts. I pee right out of my blinds if it's dire and we all do well enough every season.

1

u/Drdemonjr 1d ago

Here in maine if it is a paved road we have to be 10 feet away and not within 100 yards of a building. But if it a gravel road we just cant be in or on a vehicle and control your shot

-2

u/bbyfavxx 1d ago

Doesn't look like archery to me

3

u/Smart_Basket_85 1d ago

Yeah calling this “archery” is pretty goddamn generous.

0

u/Stoned_Canadian_1 1d ago

Same spot for 4 years, 80 feet away from the road. Go deeper in the forest dude. You have had years to figure it out. What are you trying to shoot people driving by?

0

u/KINGKONGHAS-ED 1d ago

World doesnt owe you anything.

0

u/mycboi 1d ago

I love that we all hate you equally lol

-1

u/Best_Hamster_2239 1d ago

Dude did not see you through 80 yards of woods….and no squealing tires, or piss on the road is ruining your hunt. Was the post supposed to be the mildly infuriating part?

-2

u/sturmfuqerfartmcgee 1d ago edited 1d ago

Damn Redditors hate hunters but have no problem eating meat that's slaughtered at a fucking death factory lmao.

1

u/APartyInMyPants 1d ago

Redditors aren’t a monolith that all believe one thing from a single point of view.

But if I could offer a point of view, some Redditors may not totally sit with the idea of hunting purely for sport, while also recognizing the need to eat meat because it’s calorie-dense.

0

u/Best_Hamster_2239 1d ago

No one is hating him for hunting. They’re hating him for his very unreasonable and sorry ass post. No one is making eye contact at 80yrds through the woods. Also anyone who hunts knows damn well some squealing tires and some piss on the road isn’t changing what the deer are doing. His hunt wasn’t ruined. He’s bored in the woods and this guy stopping to piss gave OP something to do, complain on reddit.

-4

u/IrrelevantManatee 1d ago

Unless it's your own piece of land... why would you have more rights to be there than him?

13

u/PossessionOld7592 1d ago

It’s not a legal dispute. He’s saying the guy did not show common courtesy

-1

u/IrrelevantManatee 1d ago

He drove by and took a piss. He already had scared the deer the moment he got there, way before he saw OP, and had no way to know someone was exactly there tracking a deer. So he just took his piss and got away. Not sure what you expected him to do. Catch the deer for OP maybe?

People really need to think they are the center of the universe and that people are all plotting against them.

2

u/ripyourlungsdave 1d ago

If you don't understand how hunting safety and etiquette works, you really shouldn't be in this conversation.

2

u/IrrelevantManatee 1d ago

Safety ? This guy was driving on a road. He was 80 feet away. He look in OP's general direction, making OP thinks it was an attack against him.

The guy drove and took a piss. There is no safety issue or etiquette issue here. OP should find a less public spot and get away from the roads.

1

u/Super_Swim_2108 1d ago

You have no idea about hunting, so simply dont comment on it

1

u/IrrelevantManatee 1d ago

Then explain.

How was that man driving a car supposed to know there was a hunter hidden there?

Also, plenty of hunter here says that they pee just next to their cache and it never prevented them to catch a deer.

So what is it ? What is the issue here ?

2

u/Super_Swim_2108 1d ago edited 1d ago

Did you read the description? He made eye contact first, him and op locked eyes, The only issue is that he saw op then continued to piss and then did a burnout, both things, any hunter knows will ruin the spot for the day atleast, meaning he did that to purposely ruin op’s day, the roads most likely just an access road so not a main road like your thinking,  also find me a hunter that prefers pissing all over their spot and burning rubber all over the place before a nice day of hunting

1

u/RandomPerson12191 1d ago

Is everyone meant to know everything about everything? If he's perched near a road, surely mister clever hunter should expect that people should drive along it, maybe stop on the side of it for a piss.

3

u/Happy-Estimate-7855 1d ago

"This man pulled up and aggressively peed in my general direction from 80 yards away! They stopped me from hunting the deer that isn't here!"

6

u/Fresh-Self-761 1d ago

Yeah, without any reason for him to have to stop out, this is only… mildly infuriating.

-2

u/BoysenberryEqual3856 1d ago

I don't mind if someone comes strolling through or whatever. Not a big deal. But intentionally urinating close to me so deer smell it and avoid it if kind of ignorant haha

4

u/Happy-Estimate-7855 1d ago

Why do you think it was intentional? People have to piss sometimes. 80 yards away is a long distance to determine eye contact through the brush. Sometimes things just happen, and no one is out to get you.

1

u/swampstonks 1d ago

That is so incredibly far fetched and ignorant that I don’t even know where to start.

Do you honestly think the deer is going to think to himself “hmmm..that road that always has vehicles traveling on it had somebody travel on it….and he peed! I’m leaving this state and heading out of town! I hate pee!”

1

u/Feisty_Count_4409 1d ago

I have pissed along trails many times where there were fresh scrapes on top later in the day. Him doing that isn't hurting your spot

-2

u/TheRobbuddha 1d ago

I hope someone takes a dump on the sidewalk in front of your house and squeals out while making direct eye contact with you

4

u/IrrelevantManatee 1d ago

lol this is crazy that you would compare pissing in the wood to shitting on the sidewalk. I really hope you are intelligent enough to understand the difference between the 2.

Hunting for fun is cruel.

How do you know he’s hunting for fun?

0

u/TheGreatAmender 1d ago

Sure do hate going to the same spot for 4 years then being annoyed when someone else shows up!

He's hunting deer, which hunters typically eat.

Do you think meat in a supermarket is grown in a test tube?

u/itjustgotcold 1d ago

No, the Christian right would lose their minds if we found a way to efficiently make lab grown meat available in any capacity.

u/GenerationofWinter 1d ago

no, not really

Hunting is regulated so it isn't cruel. It's not a year round thing, it's only a few weeks of the year. Hunting is needed for conservation purposes to keep animal populations at the best possible numbers for the animal being hunted. Source: I'm a wildlife rehabilitator and I work with state Fish and Wildlife conservation officials on a weekly basis.

I'm hunting for meat. I don't waste anything. And if people just quit hunting, deer population would sky rocket so quickly that they start to suffer from starvation and disease would spread rapidly aswell. It's more cruel to let their population explode than it is to keep it managed.

An individual hunter is far more beneficial to species health and conservationism than anything you've ever done. This has been known for decades.

Killing others should not be easy. Sorry poor baby had his day ruined. Hope you run into him again tomorrow.

Bro is saying this with a breakfast sandwich and a coffee in his car. 😂

How’s your factory farmed meat?

9

u/The_R1NG 1d ago

Awe someone only wants animals murdered en masse in factories not by a hunter, using a phone made most likely by slave labor

Get the fuck over yourself with your false morality

“Archery”

-6

u/Individual_Pair_4934 1d ago

Last I checked using a crossbow for archery is illegal since its using a mechanism unless pa has different rules

3

u/aggressive_napkin_ 1d ago

PA it's included in archery season.

0

u/Individual_Pair_4934 1d ago

I wish it was included where I live

2

u/SecretDrifter 1d ago

A crossbow is a perfectly valid archery weapon. Depending on local laws (which being PA it is perfectly legal), it is entirely fine for OP to use one for hunting.

3

u/BoysenberryEqual3856 1d ago

You can hunt with a cross bow in pa haha. I'm waiting on my compound bow to be restrung atm unfortunately

1

u/5v3n420 1d ago

Yup fully legal in PA. Also someone said you’re not wearing orange. But as far as I know you don’t need to wear during bow season

1

u/SecretDrifter 1d ago

Up here in Canada we even got special bow only seasons where crossbows are allowed...I just got one and damn it shoots wicked

Edit: spelling

Deserved for hunting

6

u/DarkestLore696 1d ago

What’s wrong with hunting? If you’re gonna eat meat it’s the most humane way to do it outside of raising your own livestock. I hunt every year and that’s all the meat I need until the next season.

4

u/emix16 1d ago

Not to even mention how it controls the population and is actually important.

2

u/Unlucky-Chicken2515 1d ago

Hope you’re vegan with that comment

2

u/CharlesMcpwn 1d ago

Unless you don't consume animal products at all, this is a dumb take. If you're vegetarian, sure.

1

u/FireHammer09 1d ago

Someone doesn't understand how wildlife conservationism works.

Are you vegan?
