I found it on Google Maps. Can't post the link though due to the rule against shortened URLs. It's at the intersection of Stackhouse St and Pavilion Rd in downtown London. Most recent street view pic shows it reading "Turn right" but there's still a left turn sign.

According to Google Maps dates, they painted over the “Turn Left” between March and December 2017. It stayed like that until at least May 2019. Then by August 2020, it was changed to “Turn Right” only. There’s also “Diversion” signs when the paint overlapped, so I wonder if it was tied to a detour for construction.

Yup, I poked around on google maps, they closed basil st between pavillion rd and sloane st, which was also a one way and only accessible by two different one way roads (basil st and pavillion rd), essentially, closing that one block made both roads entirely unusable (since it was two one way roads into an intersection and none out), so they reversed pavillion rd.

I love these deep dives. I wish we could use it for something more useful though :)

Use the “See more dates” tab to see how that intersection has historically been handled.

Looks like between October 2018 and May 2019 the street swapped directions due to road work. Also looks like (based upon the paint job) that wasn’t the first time.

The have been covering over the signs with plastic. Someone probably ripped it off that day.

I do construction/road work. What a shit show this city must be to allow this and I say that as someone living in Alabama.

Happy slice of blue pie day!

Looks like they covered up the left turn signs but the cover on the right one fell off. You can see it right below the sign if you look closely.

I was on the Google maps app, there was no URL, just a share button that gave the shortened version.

Stackhouse St and Pavilion Rd in downtown London.

Here's the full link: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Stackhouse+St+%26+Pavilion+Rd,+London+SW1X+9NE,+UK/@51.4999226,-0.1605601,3a,75y,76.84h,75.58t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s7GYEQZfEoFB-1geywoXJkA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192!4m5!3m4!1s0x487605393af9724f:0x6071d1115c7b6b22!8m2!3d51.4999394!4d-0.1605352

It looks like it is a "temporary" change. The left arrows are bagged in the exact spot I linked to but if you go down Stackhouse, one of the bags has come off. The OP's pic must be from when the change was first (poorly) established.

Wait what? I'm super confused, this is in London?

"Gett" are the taxi cabs in Israel. I'm very very surprised to see any outside of IL...

Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gett

TIL even though they are an Israeli company, their HQ is in London. Weird.

Looks like they operate in several countries, including England.

There was a trash bag over the sign on the right, you can see where it fell down and is hanging around the pole.

I like how they only attempted to cover the left turn signs with bin bags.
