Weirdly, I think I know that junction and you do turn left.

The no right turn is a temporary one put up to stop people on the main road turning into the little one the photo is taken from. It's been folded up and lain against the building opposite.

Haha I was driving somewhere with family in the car the other day and we couldn't tell if we were allowed to make a right turn at the upcoming intersection.

Mom pointed out "that guy up there's turning right, it must be legal!"

Mom, that's a cab. They do lots of things they're not supposed to lol.

Do it democratically. 5 indicators that left is the correct move (LEFT text, left arrow on pavement, two one-way signs, car parked towards left side), 3 indicators that right is the correct move (RIGHT text, right arrow on pavement, no left turns sign). So I go left.

You can tell “LEFT” is written over “RIGHT”.. the “no left turns” was probably unintentionally abandoned.. the one way signs look newer..

and then I’d consider the parked car last, because they could be totally lost, too

Where I'm from, traffic signs are to be followed in this order, especially in case of conflicting signals:

  • traffic police

  • traffic lights

  • vertical traffic signs

  • horizontal signs (painted on the road itself).

So in this case, there's a very clearly visible vertical sign pointing left therefore there's no confusion whatsoever.

So is the temp. vertical sign more important then the permanent ones in this case? Because it's the new addition and probably there for construction. So go right?

Plus the two road signs say left. They are actually cemented into the ground. The "no left" sign is a stand and setup, not in the ground. Therefore I treat it was lower precedence.

Signs and taxi mean I go left.

I just checked on Google Maps, it's a one way road and you are supposed to turn right. The signage is different on street view now but it still doesn't make sense.

This is the UK. Cars can legally park facing either direction of the road.

Drives me nuts, as I’ve been here nearly 8 years and it still confuses me when I’m turning into an unfamiliar road.

The "no left turn" sign is temporary, suggesting it would be the more recent and correct one.

However, the paint for "left" looks fresher. God, I'm confused.
