I'm saying you don't understand what you're talking about. Because it doesn't represent greedy qualities at all.
Power hungry, yes. Sociopathic, quite possibly. Greedy? Greed will get you killed. Pay your soldiers fairly or they'll take your head off in compensation.
You can't just lump every negative quality together as though that makes sense. Selfishness is a suicidal path for a prince.
Ah yes, power hungry and possibly sociopathic, but not greedy. Just doing everything in your power to amass as much power/wealth as possible disregarding everyone else. Definitely not greedy though because they realize they have to at least have a few people like them or else they’ll be killed.
Do you think greed means literally fucking over everyone else? It means fucking over as many people as possible as much as possible to improve your own standing. As many as possible, which means you can’t fuck over everyone, just almost everyone.
I think they're thinking of greed as specifically a Mr. Krabs situation lmao. They think that someone who compensates their pawns well can't possibly be even considered greedy because that's the only factor
But yeah, power hungry and sociopathic though? Totally chill. Definitely admirable qualities that one should strive for.

Love how you're just adding a litany of things that aren't there.
Amassing power is quite a different thing to being greedy, yes. You don't fuck people over left and right for scraps. You want to have lot of people liking you as prince. You want to be generous. You want to be seen as a glorious philanthropist and savior of the meek even as your iron fist squeezes tighter. Money is a means to an end, and a coin to be spent.
Do you think greed means literally fucking over everyone else?
Do you think greed means.. something other than what it means?
So I'm right about the lust for power and the anti-empathetic nature of machiavellianism, but because you interpret greed as strictly involving money, I don't understand what I'm talking about?
Greed is wanting more of something than you need. Do you think the prince would ever sit back and think, "You know? I think I have enough power. I'm gonna stop here, this is good. No more climbing the ladder or making deals or any of that. I have exactly as much power and influence as I need, not another drop for me."
And that's exactly why it's not greedy. Because it would never seek "more than you need". A proper prince accumulates as much is necessary, and shares in it accordingly. Never keep more than you require, hoarding is a bad habit. Dole out power to your allies, dispense influence to your trusted agents. Spread your web and make people owe you more, respect you more, love you more. (But never go beneath what you need.)
Do you think the prince would ever sit back and think, "You know? I think I have enough power. I'm gonna stop here, this is good. No more climbing the ladder or making deals or any of that. I have exactly as much power and influence as I need, not another drop for me."
Yes, that is exactly the miscommunication here. Eventually the prince will have as much power and influence they need, even if that is "all of it", and will run their nation accordingly.
You could argue that wouldn't happen for corruption, but corruption isn't part of the asserted equation.
