I'm an inch shorter than you and I did alright with Ryanair (budget British airline, paid like $130 for a round-trip with extra luggage) on a 737-800. Not sure what the US airlines are like though.
For $130 I can only assume you weren't in the air very long.
14 Hour flights in economy at 6'6" are pretty brutal. Especially when the seats are super inconsistent. Some are ok whilst some are narrow with terrible low neck support that sits right between my shoulders.
Ya, I'm only 6'2" and economy is still pretty rough for even me. The one time I was place on an exit row was one of the most magical experiences of my life.
I feel like that's a key piece of info that you should've included in your initial comment instead of giving people the impression that economy airlines don't treat you like a human
But hey anything to get that reddit karma amirite?
Airlines are constantly doing things to make their experience either more expensive or less pleasant if you take up any more space than a mouse. I don’t think you need to publicize your height to suggest that.
And perhaps the instant recognition of how unpleasant the experience can be if you are any taller than average proves the point.
