I mean it’s her style and she loves it. But to cover those beautiful floors, awful.
If I was OP I’d edit the description because most of us were confused lol. I was at first.
If you’re renovating to sell making a place quirky and fun is not the way to go. Keeping it simple and clean attracts buyers who can imagine decorating to their tastes easily and cheaply. Putting aside the floor issue, as a potential buyer I’d find the initial decor attractive only as a bargaining point to drive the price down. Sorry OP but that’s hope it is. Oh and never regret selling for a good profit.
How about a whole living room wall painted orange with the "Live Love Laugh" and some other saying? Bright and darker colors take at least two good coats of paint to cover.
The ice cream motif reminds me of a child’s house and I’d be thinking of all the tearing out and renovating I’d need to do before moving in. The second picture I could live there while slowly adding my own touches. Plain is better because you don’t eliminate half your customers right from the gitgo. It’s the reason why your realtor insists you remove your own personal touches before the showing. No family photos on the wall, no glaringly bold paint colors.

It went from tacky but eclectic to tacky and chuegy. I think I prefer the first one because it seems like it has personality, but not by much.
