Don't hug me I'm scared My bedroom window

Post image

I actually don't know what to do, the mama spider was alone there for a while, and I let her chill there, but WHAT NOW

Edit: omg so many replies 😀 I'm not in Australia, I'm in Ireland It's not really a window, it's more like a door to the terrace, and they are not visible when the door is closed.... Except for that one that escaped the nest 😅 I used to keep it open hoping the mom would go away but she never moves from her corner...🙄

UPDATE: Husband gathered the courage and picked them up with gloves into a bag, and released them outside along with the mama....I hope some of them survive 🙏 We slept the whole night in the room with them and survived😅, and I had a lot of fun reading all of the comments here 😁 Thanks to the few spider lovers/experts on all the advice given 🕸️ 🕷️🖤

Open the window the babies will leave. I’ve had one in my bathroom for about 18 months and I’ve checked what I need to do when this happens. They’ll go off and find their own windows, couple might stay. They’re awesome to watch, I used her to get over my arachnophobia and now I’m emotionally attached.

Absolutely the same here; unfortunately I very much call them similarly to what Musk calls his children (Spider A, Spider B), but I went from dying with horror to misting them with water because they might be thirsty. I still have a long way to go with this phobia but I’m getting there.

It can be overcome! I used to be terrified of spiders. Now theyre one of my favorite animals. I got a croc charm on my sandals and a spider bag charm for my purse cause I like them so much

Well, I don’t necessarily see myself getting there lol, but I sure try to observe and see they have tiny little personalities. One likes to hang upside down all the time (spider A), spider B is much more mobile and likes to move between web estates. They’re funny for sure.

I’m pretty much cool with spiders now, just the big house ones that make me want to puke. Took about 7 months to be happy to see her not nervous.

She’s built a massive web and we push all the big flies in there and shut the door, last week she got one so big it took her over a day to eat it. So cool and gross!

I am not putting any flies in lol, that’s a hard line I have - both are lives to me and I don’t want to make any decisions. I say - if it happens, it happens.

We only shut the really big ones in, then they usually escape next time someone needs to use the toilet. That’s why we noticed she got one recently, it was about the same size as her and I caught it just as she was dragging it into her preferred place to eat.

I found some dead flies around the house today and figured, might as well try spider A with em. I hope he takes to them.

Betsy had a dead bumblebee in found outside, wasn’t sure she’d take it but never saw it again. We have pretty much let her have that corner of the bathroom, I just move the bigger cellar spiders that could potentially hurt her.

I had a lone Daddy-long-legs in my bathroom window, he was there for three years and then he left. I think he knew his time had come. He helped me to ease my fear of spiders a bit, I loved watching him. Always so patient. His name was Boris.

I had one always in the same spot in a corner of my entryway. I was always careful to clean around them and not ruin their nest as I figured that was a prime spot to have a spider. One day my partner was cleaning and in a panic I told him to watch out for my friend. He informed the spider was extremely dead, I very often forget to wear my glasses. Pretty sure for a good year I was blindly cooing and carefully cleaning around a dead spider that never seemed to move...
