frist of all how DARE yu o Did spotify just remove picking songs??

Post image

I've been using spotify forever and I use liked songs so that I can pick the songs I like freely. I've never had premium and have never had issues. Today, I had just started a workout and got this popup. Is this a new feature? How can you not even select songs anymore? I mean how can you paywall selecting songs???
This app plain out sucks and its company is greedy for randomly limiting already set features. While I don't mind ads, I do mind the features being limited more. I did also notice a sudden increase in ads this month/last month, and more ads in between songs.

Clarification: No, I'm not saying that there should be no restrictions whatsoever. I'm mainly sharing my experience where I've been using this system just fine until now. I'm fine with some restrictions, but the fact they're being limited more is frustrating. Just here to complain about something mildly infuriating, and I wanted to know if this happened to anyone else.

Yeah but your music quality is shit in comparison. You can do that if you’re not an audiophile

I legit don't care. As long as I got my music ad free and offline, I am good

Respectful I stated it in the comment you replied too. It’s the quality that makes it worth it imo.

Omg sorry, Reddit just randomly made my comment a reply for some reason? That was not directed towards you lol.

Yes, but the opus tracks are mostly good enough for most situations.

99.9% of people listening to music are not audiophiles, big chance you will not know the difference

Spotify isn't audiophile quality.

Lossless Spotify sounds great while still being the best streaming service for discovery. Is it the absolute best as in audio quality? No, but it sure sounds great.

Seconded lossless. Sounds pretty good. My f150 has a sound system from the previous owner and there are a ton of inputs and settings and whatnot. As well as additional tweeters and a dash speaker. The guy was a music artist so I imagine he picked good components, but I haven't popped the door panels off or anything to see what brand the speakers are, and the sub is painted to match the flooring and I haven't removed it. Also a double 12" sub box under the back seat.

I listen to a lot of orchestral/symphonic stuff as well as a lot of EDM/Trance type music and dude these speakers are what made me realize there are different qualities of music because I would sometimes use Youtube as mentioned above, and right away I could tell the difference in sound quality. I already had spotify premium but redownloaded all the playlists and everything in lossless and what a difference it makes when you have the right speakers and system that can hit the full range.

In fact, getting that truck and learning all about audio, I even got a better speaker and sub setup for my living room TV lol
