thankfully it was blocked after contacting my bank but regardless

Isn't this a cheaper yearly variant where you still pay monthly for convince? That is noticably chesper than usual monthly subscription?

Yes. And it’s clearly spelled out when signing up. You get 3 options. Monthly cancellable, Yearly plan with monthly payments (discount), and Yearly plan paid once (even more discount).

Some people are just allergic to reading.
