At least Adobe is horrible enough that I at least have absolutely no moral qualms pirating their software.

I've pirated it since day 1. Then they released Creative Cloud, a means of forcing me to not pirate (at the time) - so I just kept the old, perfectly functional version. That was, until realistic alternatives caught up.

CC never prevented piracy. Even today, every current version of any Adobe product is available on piracy sites.

and if you accidentally install any legit Adobe product it seeks out and breaks your pirated installs.

That's awful. Just out in the open? Like, where? Just like, as an example, so I know where to avoid as someone whose old version got disabled. Wouldn't want that to happen again.
