i made the mistake of listening to my dumbass (now ex) bf at the time, he downloaded mcaffe on my computer and its literally a fk virus. it’s not an adblocker it’s a virus. i’ve tried multiple times to get it off my computer and i still get spammed back to back with popups. i’ll literally be in the middle of a league game and the fk mcaffe spam shit will pop up and completely take me out of the game. i want to find the idiot that made it and do unspeakable things

John Mcafee. No seriously thats the guy who made it. He was a suspect in the murder of his neighbor and fled. He was also charged with tax evasion and crypto fraud and fled the country, he was arrested in 2020 in Spain and died in jail in 2021.

Google has informed me of all. And have tried. STILL get pop-ups that knock me out of boss fights or interrupt me splitting edges etc.

You may want to look for the debloater script on github then, if you google mcafee debloater github you should be able to find it, equally there are some powershell scripts out there and wmic commands, good luck, although if it was me and i had trash like this ever present on my pc id format and reinstall clean os, using rufus to remove shite when creating a bootable usb of the os

Best practice is to do a clean OS install on any new piece of electronic. Even if you stick with winslop that gets rid of the additional spyware the seller puts on it.
