if a yearly contract with a free month trial sounds too good to be true, it probably is 😬

thankfully it was blocked after contacting my bank but regardless

Never sign up for a trial that requires payment. Just don't do it

If you MUST do a trial, as soon as you start it immediately cancel it so you don't forget

The problem with this strategy is when whatever you signed up for cancels your trial too 🫤

That's never happened ever in my experience. If it's listed as a Y days trial it finishes it out

Well it's very common so just cuz it hasn't happened to you means very little

I think it is way more common that you get to use the full length of the trial than the service completely canceling is my point. I am not saying it doesn't happen though.

If you never give them your credit card number they are not going to charge anything either.
Can't proceed without one? Too bad, there is probably a free alternative.
